SideMission

Swap scrolling for side quests. Bored and doomscrolling again? SideMission is a screen time app that hands you one real thing to do instead: go outside, move, plan a date night, see friends or recharge. Pick the apps you want to block, accept a side quest matched to your mood, time and budget, and those apps stay locked until you finish it and add proof. YOUR FIRST WEEK, PLANNED Answer a few quick questions about your evenings, your screen time and who you do things with. Sid builds a first week of 5 to 7 real missions for you. YOUR STORY WITH SID Missions build chapters. Complete a few different ones, unlock the chapter's finale, play it when you're ready and keep a souvenir in Sid's collection. Progress never resets, and your past missions count toward milestones. MISSION LOCK On a supported iPhone, allow Screen Time and choose the apps or categories you want to block with Appleβs private picker. After setup, Mission Lock is on by default. Accept a mission and your selected apps stay blocked in full until you complete the mission and save its required proof in SideMission. Starting the mission, opening the proof screen or waiting out the timer does not unlock your apps. If a mission expires or you abandon it, complete a replacement mission to unlock. Need access sooner? Turn Mission Lock off in SideMission Settings. This is a voluntary commitment you control. Proof can be a photo, a location check-in or a journal note, as requested by the mission. If camera or location access is unavailable, a journal note can stand in. Proof records what you did; it is not independent verification of the activity. Nothing is blocked before you authorize Screen Time and select apps. Mission Lock blocks the selected apps, not just scrolling or particular feeds inside them. Your selection stays on your iPhone; SideMission does not read your feeds or messages. HOW TO USE SIDEMISSION 1. Answer a few quick questions. Your answers stay on your device. 2. Get your first-week plan. 3. Pick a mood and a time. Three taps for a matched mission, or adjust budget, distance and who's coming. 4. Accept it, or use one of three rerolls. 5. Optionally use Nearby Intel for an Apple Maps place and directions. 6. Capture photo, location or journal proof, and save the card to Photos or share it. 7. Watch your Journal fill up with receipts, places and a monthly recap. 250 MISSIONS Explore, move, connect, recharge, plan a date, or take a small social risk. Missions range from 15-minute resets to half-day micro-adventures. YOUR JOURNAL, PLACES AND SAVED IDEAS Your receipts come first, with the places you've been and a monthly recap card to share. Track estimated time reclaimed, active days and streaks in Life stats. Share a link to SideMission to keep it in Saved, then turn that idea into a mission. Every catalog mission is illustrated with a photograph. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account or sign-up - No feed, ads, leaderboards, or guilt loops - Profile, proof photos, and journal stay on your device unless you share - Nearby place lookups use Apple Maps on-device; SideMission has no location server SIDEMISSION+ SUBSCRIPTION SideMission+ offers monthly subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase in Canada. Other storefronts offer monthly or annual subscriptions, with introductory offers where available. The paywall shows your Apple Account storefrontβs localized price and terms. Longlist
Read full descriptionHide full description
Longlist is the list of things you still want to do with your life. And the first one that also tells you how far along you are. Most bucket list apps are a pretty notepad: one line, one checkbox, done. But "see the northern lights", "travel to 30 countries" and "put 50,000 aside" are not checkboxes. They have progress, a price and a next step. THREE QUESTIONS, ON EVERY ENTRY How far along am I? What will it still cost me? What is the next step? The next step sits in the list itself, not buried in a submenu β so you see it the moment you open the app. SIX KINDS OF LIFE GOALS β’ Save an amount β enter a target and a date, and Longlist works out the monthly rate and whether you are on track. β’ Travel somewhere β place, season window, estimated cost and days. Tick it off and the country fills in on your world map. β’ Own something β pulled in from any shop through the share sheet, with image, title and price. The price becomes a savings goal. β’ Reach a position β course, exam, application, interview: a chain of stages with their own deadlines. β’ Do something β a skydive, a marathon, giving a speech. With prerequisites and the window of opportunity. β’ Collect something β 30 countries, all 50 states, 100 books. Counted properly, x of n. If none of them fit, build your own type β and share it as a template. YOUR WORLD MAP Every place you reach fills in a country, with a percentage. The map lives inside the app: it works on a plane exactly as it does at home. NO ACCOUNT. OFFLINE. FOR GOOD. Longlist works fully without signing up. Your goals live on your device, not on a server. You only need an account if you want to sync between two devices or share a list with someone. EXPORT IS FREE A bucket list is meant to last decades. So you can take it out again at any time β as JSON, CSV or PDF, without Pro and without an account. A backup behind a paywall would not be a backup. WHAT LONGLIST DOES NOT DO No daily streaks: life goals take years, not runs. No ads, no data selling. No public feed, no real-name requirement. And no "you haven't been here in a while" messages. LONGLIST PRO Free for good: unlimited goals, all six types, the world map, widget, search, sorting, one photo per goal, share import and the full export. Pro adds: build and share your own goal types, unlimited photos and completion stories, unlimited shared lists, location reminders and travel mode, savings commitments, year in review and insights. Pricing: monthly, yearly with two weeks free to try, or a one-time purchase with no subscription at all. The price in your currency is shown on the purchase screen and before you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase; you can manage and cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
