WBTRK is a complete music studio in your pocket: a fast tracker grid, 21 sound engines, a library of over 450 ready-made sounds, drum kits, a sampler, per-note effects, a twelve-channel mixer, a live performance mode, plug-in hosting and MIDI. One purchase for iPhone, iPad and Mac. WRITE • PHRASES of 16 steps hold notes, chords, instrument, velocity and effects; they stack into CHAINS, and chains arrange into a twelve-channel SONG • Hold a cell and slide to set a note or a value — it plays as you go • Select, copy and paste cell by cell, transpose whole sections, and end a note exactly where you want with OFF • Every channel loops on its own and can run at its own tempo, locked to one clock • A hardware keyboard on iPad and Mac, a MIDI keyboard, or any Bluetooth game controller drives the whole tracker SOUND • Over 450 ready-made sounds sorted by what they are — drums, bass, keys, bells, plucked, strings, winds, voice, leads, pads, fx — each one a tap away from playing, all balanced to the same loudness. Save your own for any engine • DRUM KIT: ten drum slots in one instrument — eight built-in kits, or build your own from any sound or sample • Classic synths: pulse, saw, triangle, FM, noise, supersaw pad, sub, pluck, wavetable and the dual-oscillator MODX, plus DRUM, an analog drum voice • WOVEN, a macro-oscillator with 24 models and 96 classic DX7 patches; ROUND, a resonator for strings, bars and bells; MODAL for struck percussion • SAMPLER: record or import, chop at transients, stretch to the tempo, loop, reverse, round-robin • SPEECH sings your lyrics in English and Japanese; GRAIN turns any recording into clouds; DRONE, RESONATOR and TEXTURE build ambient beds • AUv3 hosting: play your instrument plug-ins and insert effect plug-ins on any channel SHAPE • 32 effects on any note: delays, reverbs up to thirty seconds, tempo-synced gate and autopan, retrigger, chorus, flanger, ring mod, wavefold, bitcrush, slides, vibrato, arps, FOGGY granular clouds and more • AUT automation morphs an instrument and its effect across the rows • RANDOM dice, tables for instant arpeggios, a groove editor per instrument, scale lock • A twelve-channel mixer with volume, pan, mute, solo and plug-in inserts PERFORM • LIVE MODE: launch phrases from six scenes on pads, quantized to the beat or the bar, and punch in delay and filters — or latch them CONNECT • MIDI in with step and live recording, MIDI out to hardware, MIDI clock and Ableton Link KEEP • Render to WAV (16 or 24 bit), stems and MIDI; share songs as files; your session autosaves • A lock-screen player with cover art in your theme • 28 themes — the studio look comes in dark and light and can follow your device — a theme editor, seven typefaces, hex numbers if you like • English and Japanese, and a demo song to start from Everything runs on your device. WHAT IT IS Disto Disco turns distortion into movement. It starts with gentle drive and classic distortion, then ventures into stranger territory: degrading echoes, vocoders, morphing vowels, spectral effects, ring modulation, granular clouds, and more. Every dial can move with the beat, while Random and Spice can send the whole patch somewhere new. Shape something smooth, tuned, and shimmering; push it toward harsh, brutal, and broken; or take it somewhere weird and otherworldly. WHAT IT DOES * 28 sound-shaping modes: explore five distinct sonic territories, each with its own controls and character. * Drive: move from gentle warmth through folding, fuzz, bit crushing, and high gain. * Spectral: filter, morph, vocode, swap, or silence different parts of the sound. * Math: combine versions of the input with simple mathematical operations for raw, harsh, and unusual textures. * Time: turn recent sound into echoes, loops, and resonances, then bend, shift, or scrub it into motion. * Granular: cut sound into tiny pieces and scatter, repeat, or layer them into sparse grains and dense clouds. * A modulator on every dial: draw a 16-step pattern, choose a shape, or generate one, all synced to the beat. * Random and Spice: generate a new direction for the whole patch, from subtle changes to complete chaos. Keep what works and refine the rest by hand. * Tone and dynamics: shape the effected signal with Low Cut, Tube, and High Cut, then use the envelope follower to make distortion react to the input. * AUv3 and standalone: use Disto Disco as an effect inside your favorite host, or process live input directly in the app. REQUIREMENTS * An AUv3 host such as AUM, Cubasis, Drambo, GarageBand, Loopy Pro, or Logic Pro.
