When noise becomes a problem, the loudest number doesn't win β€” the complete log does. MeterWorks Sound Meter is a sound level meter and noise log in one: measure, document incidents, export the log PDF. No ads, no subscription, no account. NOISE LOG β€” THE HEART OF IT β€’ Every incident with start, duration, type, and measured level β€” turn any recording into a diary entry with one tap β€’ Tag events with one tap: bass/music, footsteps, dog, drilling, traffic … β€’ Pro: automatic events β€” when the level crosses your threshold, the entry creates itself with start, duration, Leq, and max level β€’ Export a log PDF in the tabular form landlords and mediators expect: date, time, duration, type, measured levels, notes β€” with a methodology footer β€’ Fair by design: the app stores NO audio β€” only level values. No secret recordings, no legal gray zone MEASURE β€’ Live readout with a big dB(A) value, Fast/Slow weighting, smooth real-time graph β€’ Leq, LAFmax, LAFmin β€” the numbers that belong in real reports β€’ Pro: dB(C)/dB(Z) weighting and L10/L50/L90/L95 percentiles (background vs. events) β€’ Offset calibration against a reference meter β€” wide Β±25 dB range, because devices drift YOUR DATA IS YOURS β€’ Free: PNG export of any measurement β€’ Pro: CSV of the full per-second series (LAeq/LAFmax/LAFmin) β€” spreadsheet-ready, shared in seconds β€’ Pro: multi-page PDF report with statistics, level history, and the event table FREE VS. PRO β€” NO SURPRISES Free is a real instrument: unlimited live measurement, three recordings of 10 seconds each, 3 manual diary entries per day, PNG export. Pro is a single one-time purchase: recordings without time or count limits, auto events, CSV, log PDF, percentiles, dB(C)/(Z) β€” all future Pro features included. No subscription, ever. WHAT THIS APP CANNOT DO β€” HONESTLY iPhone microphones measure reliably from roughly 30 to 100 dB(A), within Β±2–3 dB after calibration. Certified, court-grade measurements are beyond any smartphone β€” apps promising that are bluffing. The log serves documentation; the in-app page "Limits of this measurement" explains exactly what works. TYPICAL USES Document neighbor noise Β· back up a complaint with timestamped data Β· level a home theater or rehearsal room Β· compare machine and fan noise NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ADS. NO TRACKERS. All measurement data stays on your device. MeterWorks is a family of honest measurement apps: Vibrometer for vibration, Teslameter for magnetic fields β€” just as honest, just as subscription-free.

Keep your favorite volume and brightness settings one tap away. Every feature is free. No ads, subscriptions, or account required. FINE MEDIA VOLUME CONTROL Adjust iPhone and iPad media volume with a slider, numeric input, and step buttons. Enter precise values and see system readback; the available precision depends on iOS and the current output device. UNLIMITED PRESETS AND SCENE GROUPS Save as many volume presets as you need, optionally including screen brightness. Organize them into groups for reading, working, bedtime, and more. Removing a group keeps its presets. INDEPENDENT WIDGET CONFIGURATION Existing preset widgets remain available. Each new Custom Scenes widget can independently display a group or up to four selected presets. Interactive widgets require iOS 17 or later and open HushStep to apply settings. BRIGHTNESS CONTROL Attach brightness to a preset and optionally reapply it when returning to HushStep. iOS restores system brightness after the screen locks. HushStep does not lock brightness in the background or disable automatic brightness. LOCAL STORAGE Your presets, groups, and preferences stay on your device. No account is needed. Requires iOS 16 or later.
