CoreAI Zoo

CoreAI Zoo puts the open-weight AI model zoo on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Pick a model, download it once, and run it entirely on your device. No account, no server, and nothing you type, say or photograph ever leaves the device. CHAT Stream answers from open language models such as Qwen3, Gemma, LFM2.5, Granite and Mistral, from 0.6B to 30B+ parameters depending on your device's memory. Vision-language models (Qwen3-VL, MiniCPM-V, LFM2.5-VL) answer questions about your photos. VISION Ask questions about an image, read text with on-device OCR, and describe what the camera sees. AUDIO Transcribe speech with Whisper large-v3-turbo, Parakeet and Qwen3-ASR. Talk to an audio-understanding model, generate speech with Kokoro and VoxCPM, and try on-device music generation. CAMERA Live depth estimation, object detection (YOLOX, RF-DETR), action recognition and super-resolution on the camera feed. TOOLS Experimental models such as diffusion-based language models. BENCH Measure load time, tokens per second and memory for any chat model on your own hardware. HOW IT WORKS Every model runs through Core ML on Apple silicon. Weights are downloaded from the Hugging Face Hub on first use over HTTPS, then cached, so the app works offline afterwards. One model is resident at a time to stay within memory limits. New models arrive through a live catalog without an app update. GETTING STARTED Start with Qwen3-0.6B (454 MB) for the fastest first run. Larger models state the free space and memory they need; a recent iPhone Pro or an Apple silicon Mac runs the mid-size ones comfortably. Model weights follow their own licenses, listed on each model's Hugging Face page. The app itself is BSD-3-Clause and part of the open CoreAI model zoo. Swoop

Write SwiftUI on your phone, watch it run, and paste it into Xcode. Swoop is a canvas for postcard-sized components. Type one, press play, and it runs for real ā springs, timing and trigonometry computed on the device at the frame rate you feel. Copy hands back plain SwiftUI that compiles. Most SwiftUI apps are catalogues you browse. This is the one where you write it. WHAT IT PLAYS Swoop runs a documented subset of SwiftUI, on device. ⢠Text, Image, Button, Toggle, Spacer, Divider ⢠VStack, HStack, ZStack, ForEach, TimelineView ⢠Circle, Capsule, Rectangle, RoundedRectangle ⢠frame, padding, offset, opacity, scaleEffect, rotationEffect, zIndex ⢠fill, stroke, trim, background, overlay, clipShape, shadow ⢠animation, onAppear, symbolEffect, sensoryFeedback ⢠@State, helper funcs, computed views, if/else, ranges ⢠sin, cos, tan, sqrt, pow, min, max, .pi If Swoop cannot play something exactly the way Xcode would, it refuses and points at the line rather than guessing. What you copy always compiles. Swoop is for one component at postcard size ā not for building whole screens on a phone. ScrollView, List, NavigationStack, GeometryReader and TextField are deliberately not included. A REAL EDITOR ⢠Line numbers and syntax colour ⢠Autocorrect, smart quotes and autocapitalisation switched off ⢠Every file in your library previews itself, running, in the list POST IT AND RECORD IT ⢠Publish a component to the community, free, under your username ⢠Anyone can play it and take the source ⢠Record three seconds of it running and share the video ⢠Like and view counts on everything published PRIVACY ⢠Your files are saved on your phone ⢠Nothing is uploaded, read by us, or used to train anything ⢠A file leaves the device only when you publish or share it ⢠Writing, playing and copying never need an account ⢠Sign in with Apple or Google only to publish or like ⢠Delete your account from inside the app, any time SWOOP PRO ⢠A profile page ā your picture and a grid of your work ⢠Clean recordings, without the Swoop mark ⢠Sign a recording with your avatar and username ⢠Backdrops for recordings ⢠Post a component without handing over the source Writing, playing, copying and publishing stay free. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: CoreAI Zoo at daily against Swoop's weekly. Swoop's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
