Ore is the meal logger that finally fits how you actually eat. No scrolling through a food database. No hunting for the right "grilled chicken." Just tell Ore what you had — type a sentence, snap a photo, or say it out loud — and it estimates the calories and macros for you. Every estimate is yours to correct. Ore shows calories, protein, carbs, fat, and fiber for each item, and you can fix any number with a tap before you save. It's a smart starting point you control, not a black box. Built around a plan that's actually yours: • Tell Ore about you once — your body, your activity, and your goal — and it calculates a daily calorie and macro target, then shows how it arrived at your daily calorie budget. • Adjust any target. The plan is a proposal you can edit, not a verdict. • Watch your day fill in against your targets with a clean calorie ring, macro breakdown, and automatically calculated daily Fiber goal. Log a meal three ways: • Text — "two eggs, toast, and a flat white" becomes a logged meal in seconds. • Photo — snap your plate and Ore reads it into an editable draft. • Voice — say what you ate, hands-free, and review before it saves. More ways Ore keeps you honest and fast: • A multi-day diary so you can see patterns, not just today. • Restaurant meals broken into their parts, with numbers that match the menu. • Eating out? One tap adds the extra butter and oil restaurants use. • A meal-time card on your Lock Screen, and a reminder at your usual meal times. • Scan a barcode and the product is read straight from the camera. • Optionally connect Apple Health to use recent weight, steps, active calories and workouts when shaping your program, and save the meals you log to Apple Health. • Saved foods — save a meal for next time, then choose how much you had without rebuilding it. • Targets you can revisit and adjust whenever your needs change. Ore is free: no subscription is required. Private by design. Sign in with Apple — no separate password. Photos attached while logging stay with the confirmed meal so you can see them in your diary, and are deleted with the meal or account. Raw Apple Health activity stays on your device. Delete your account and your data anytime from inside the app. Ore is a smart-estimate tool to help you stay aware of what you eat. It is not a medical device. Ore offers general nutrition guidance, not medical advice. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://oreapp.fit/privacy

Hydration is more than reaching a number. Gulpo helps you understand the pace behind it. The pace line shows where you could be by now, so you can see at a glance whether you’re on track, ahead, or falling behind. Tap it to see exactly how much. Log the way that feels natural. Manually choose a beverage and amount, say what you drank and how much all at once, or point the camera at your drink. Carry a bottle? It gets even easier. Just tell Gulpo how much of it you finished. Save the drinks you reach for often, from your morning glass to your desk mug, so they’re always close by. However the drink happened, there’s probably a quick way to log it. Now you’ve got one less excuse not to log :) Coffee, tea, milk, juice, smoothies and more all contain water. Gulpo accounts for the water in each drink instead of treating everything as plain water. Some days need more water than others too, so weather, workouts and details you choose to share through Apple Health can help Gulpo adjust your daily goal. There’s no Gulpo account and no sign-up. Your data stays on your devices and can sync through your own iCloud account. Gulpo doesn’t need to know who you are to know how much you drank. Gulpo Reserve is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ore at 92% against Gulpo's 75%. Ore also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 3) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.1). Gulpo's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ore sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per month and Gulpo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Gulpo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ore has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Ore's written reviews are positive against 75% of Gulpo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Ore ships an update every 3 days, Gulpo every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
