About

Waylight

Features

Waylight turns your camera into a voice that describes the world around you and watches for the things you care about — all without an internet connection. Point your phone at a room, a street, or a sleeping baby, and Waylight looks at the live picture and speaks up when it matters. Nothing is ever recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. The camera feed never leaves your device. WHY YOU'LL USE IT - Get a spoken description of what's in front of you, on demand or on a repeating check. - Set a watch condition in plain language and get an instant spoken alert the moment it's true — no scrolling back through a video, no guessing. - Keep it running in the background of daily life: a workspace, a driveway, a play area, a pot on the stove. BUILT-IN SCENES - General — a quick spoken description of whatever the camera sees. - Travel — helpful context for unfamiliar places and signs. - Baby care — a visual watch for a sleeping or resting baby. - Safety — alerts for things like smoke, fire, or a door left open. MAKE IT YOURS - Write your own watch prompts in plain English and save them to My scenes. - Choose how often Waylight checks: every 2, 5, 10, or 30 seconds. - Turn on spoken descriptions for every check, or keep it silent and let alerts speak for themselves. - Switch between front and back cameras any time. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Waylight runs its vision model entirely on your iPhone. There's no account, no server, and no cloud processing — your camera feed is analyzed on-device and immediately discarded. What you point your camera at stays yours. Waylight is a visual aid and general-purpose alerting tool. It is not a certified medical, safety, or emergency device and should not replace professional monitoring equipment, smoke detectors, or human supervision in situations where safety is critical.
