Ten Vocab
Read full descriptionHide full description
Ten Vocab builds academic vocabulary the way it is actually tested: in context, ten words at a time. Each day you get a personalized set of ten words, chosen from words you previously missed, high-priority words, and words due for review. Every word comes with a clear definition, an example sentence, similar words, a difficulty level, and a priority score. Tap any word to hear it pronounced. Practice questions rotate through six formats, so coming back to a word tests the word itself rather than your memory of one question: a fill-in-the-blank in context, meaning, recall from a definition, a blank in a second sentence, nearest synonym, and, for familiar words with a less common second meaning, which sense the word carries in a given sentence. Words you struggle with come back sooner. Words you know come back later. Your streak, mastery, and weakest words are always one tap away. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There are no accounts and no sign-in. Progress is stored only on your device. The app makes no network requests and contains no advertising or analytics. ORIGINAL CONTENT All vocabulary, practice questions, and explanations are original. Ten Vocab does not reproduce questions from any official test. It is designed for students preparing for college admissions tests, and for anyone who wants a stronger academic vocabulary. Ten Vocab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board or ACT, Inc.
