Zonal
Read full descriptionHide full description
Zonal is a tiny, focused time-zone buddy. Add the cities and people you care about and see at a glance, what time it is for each of them right now. Need to find a slot that works across zones? Drag the dial at the bottom to travel up to 24 hours forward or back and watch every clock move together. When you find the moment, you've found your meeting time. โข Every card is tinted by the local time of day there โ night, dawn, day, dusk โ so you can feel the time, not just read it. Each card shows its own date, too. โข Name your entries. The name starts as the city but you can call it anything โ "HQ", "Mom", "Tampa". Add the same zone more than once under different names. โข Tap any card for its detail page: live time, UTC offset... Set it as your base and every offset is shown relative to it. โข Smart search knows common cities that aren't official time-zone names โ Beijing, San Francisco, Antwerp, Mumbai, and over a thousand more โ plus UTC and GMT. โข Share an entry as a link; the person you send it to gets a preview and confirms before it's added. No accounts, no subscriptions, no ads. Zonal works entirely on your device.
Hourline

Hourline puts a working-hours comparison on your home screen. Each city gets a strip of hours running from four hours back to eight hours ahead. Every column is the same moment in every city, so reading straight down tells you what time it is in each place โ and whether anyone is awake. Color does the rest. Easily see working hours, early morning, evening, and night. Finding a window where three cities are all in daylight takes about a second. โข Live clocks that tick continuously, to the second โข Up to seven cities, in medium and large widget sizes โข The current hour underlined in every city โข A day marker when a city is on a different date than yours โข Search any city or IANA time zone โข Reorder cities โ the first is home, and every offset is shown relative to it โข Daylight saving and half-hour offsets handled correctly Built for the small, constant question: is it a reasonable hour to message or call someone right now? No account. No sign-in. No network requests at all. Your city list is stored on your device and is the only thing the app keeps.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Zonal at none against Hourline's 1. On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
