Speaker Test

Speaker Test checks every built-in speaker of your iPhone or iPad in under a minute. SPEAKER CHECK Play a tone on each speaker one by one, answer "heard it" or "didn't hear", and see the result: "2 of 2 speakers work". iPhone has two speakers, the bottom speaker and the earpiece at the top; a weak or silent one is easy to spot. STEREO LEFT / RIGHT Play a tone on the left, the right or both speakers and hear whether each side works on its own. WATER EJECT Pulses of a low 165 Hz tone make the speaker membrane vibrate, which can help push water and dust out of the grille after your phone gets wet. MORE TESTS • Basic tones: A4 440 Hz and a vocal-range tone • Advanced tones: bass, treble, white noise, square wave, custom frequency • Frequency sweep from 20 Hz to 20 kHz: find where the sound stops • Output devices: see where the sound goes (speaker, headphones, Bluetooth, AirPlay) • Warnings when headphones take the sound away from the speakers PREMIUM (one-time purchase, no subscription) • No ads • Full report with all checks, as a PDF you can share when you sell or buy a used phone • Report history • Automatic microphone check: the phone listens to its own speakers with its microphones and measures each speaker and the frequency response FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I test my speakers? Open Speaker check and answer after each tone. You see how many speakers work. Why does only one speaker play in the left / right test? On iPhone the left channel plays from the bottom speaker and the right channel from the earpiece at the top. Can it get water out of the speaker? The 165 Hz tone can help push water out. It does not repair water damage. Is my audio recorded? No. The microphone check analyzes the sound on the device and never records or sends it. Languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Arabic, Ukrainian and Russian. To change the language, open iOS Settings, scroll to Speaker Test and choose Language. Everything that was free stays free. Start at a low volume: very high or low tones can be uncomfortable. The water eject tone does not repair water damage.
