GateReverb
Read full descriptionHide full description
GateReverb is a focused, single-purpose reverb effect for vocals, drums, and mix busses: a Plate reverb whose tail is shaped by a gate, so the wet signal opens and closes with the dynamics of your source instead of trailing off in a long, smeared decay. Unlike a conventional reverb, GateReverb's gate listens to your input and controls only the reverb return โ your dry signal always passes through untouched. The result is reverb that feels alive and rhythmic: tight and punchy when you want it tucked in, or big and dramatic when you want it to bloom and snap shut. WHY A GATED REVERB Traditional reverbs add space, but the tail can blur transients, muddy a mix, or fight for room with other instruments. By gating the reverb return, GateReverb lets you dial in exactly how much "air" survives after each hit or phrase โ keeping your low end tight, your vocals intelligible, and your drums punchy, while still giving you all the depth and character of a smooth Plate reverb underneath. SIX CONTROLS, NO GUESSWORK GateReverb keeps the interface to six clearly labeled controls so you can dial in a sound fast, without hunting through menus: - Threshold โ sets how loud the input must be before the gate opens - Attack โ how quickly the reverb appears once the gate opens - Release โ how quickly the reverb tail is cut off - High Damp โ tames or brightens the top end of the reverb tail - Dry Level โ your unprocessed input signal - Reverb Level โ the gated wet signal Every control uses a musically tuned response curve, so small movements near the most useful range (short attacks, fast or slow releases, etc.) give you fine control exactly where you need it. 8 PRESETS FOR REAL-WORLD SOURCES GateReverb ships with eight presets designed around real mixing situations, each tuned with appropriate thresholds, timing, and tonal balance for its source material: - Vocal Air โ a natural, breathing space that follows phrasing - Vocal Spotlight โ a dramatic swell that blooms at the end of a line - Drum Snap โ a short, punchy ambience that preserves transients - Drum Pump โ an aggressive, rhythmic gated effect for electronic and pop production - Bus Glue โ a subtle cohesive space for a full mix bus - Bus Bloom โ an expansive lift for choruses and key moments - Subtle Texture โ barely-there ambience for spoken word or delicate sources - Extreme Gate โ a bold, obvious gated effect for sound design Each preset is a starting point โ every control remains live, so you can reshape any preset to fit your track in seconds. BUILT FOR YOUR WORKFLOW GateReverb is built as a lightweight AUv3 Audio Unit plugin for use inside your favorite AUv3-compatible host on Mac and iOS โ load it on a vocal, drum bus, or send, and it's ready to play with. All parameters are exposed to your host for full automation, so gate timing and reverb levels can be part of your arrangement, not just a static setting. A standalone version is also included so you can audition GateReverb on a sample audio file before committing it to a session โ load a WAV, hit play, and hear exactly how each preset and control responds before you build it into your mix. GateReverb is designed to do one thing extremely well: give your reverb a shape, a rhythm, and a reason to be there. No oversized interface, no overwhelming parameter list โ just the controls you need to get a great gated reverb sound, fast.
Latch Tuner

Know the note. Get the numbers. Back to the beat. Ordinary tuners are built for long, sustained notes. Play a one-shot through one and the needle jumps around during the attack, then goes blank before you can read it. Latch Tuner is built for how producers actually work: it skips the attack, measures the body of the sound, and holds the answer on screen after the sample has ended. How it works. You chopped a bass note from an old record and it's fighting your track. Insert Latch Tuner on the channel, trigger the pad once, and it reads: E3 โ26.5 ยข ยท 324.6 Hz ยท MIDI 64 Set TARGET to the note you actually want โ say C3 โ and it does the conversion for you: SEMI โ4 ยท FINE +27 Those are the two numbers your sampler's pitch controls take. Type them in, retrigger, done. No looping the sample into a phone tuner, no guessing against a piano. Two modes. โข LATCH โ for one-shots, chops, plucks, vocal stabs and 808s. Transient-aware capture holds the reading until you clear it. Capture history keeps your last few results on screen, so you can work through a whole kit without writing anything down. โข LIVE โ stop switching apps to tune. A straightforward in-line tuner for guitar, synth and voice, docked in a corner of your session. It tells you when it isn't sure. A gliding 808 or a weak fundamental reads as low confidence rather than a confident wrong answer. A chord reads as its root, flagged rather than asserted. Noise and washed-out chops report no clear pitch, because there isn't one. Tap PLAY to hear a reference tone against the sample and decide with your ears โ below ~80 Hz the tone adds an octave-up partial so you can hear it on a device speaker. Speaks sampler. Note name, cents, frequency and MIDI note number, plus the SEMI/FINE correction to your chosen target. Samplers disagree about octave numbers, so the readout shows its convention next to every answer โ and a C3/C4 toggle matches it to yours. It can't silently put you an octave off. Adjustable reference pitch (440, 432, 442โฆ). Runs where you work. An AUv3 audio effect โ use it in AUM, Koala, GarageBand, or any other AUv3 host. Plus a standalone app that listens through the mic. Audio passes through untouched. One-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no account. Everything is analyzed on-device; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
