Day after day, I watched her go through the same routine until one day I decided to find her an app with a ready-made catalog where she could create lists on the fly just by typing the first few letters and quickly check off purchases right there in the supermarket. But that turned out to be harder than I expected, as the apps I found felt inconvenient and poorly designed, and their ready-made catalogs were either missing or too limited and impractical. So I decided to build my own app without those shortcomings. After a lot of hard work, the result was CheckList, a lightweight, easy-to-use, and thoughtfully designed checklist app with a catalog for groceries and everyday shopping. But then my wife surprised me again. As we were getting ready for another trip, I found her making a packing list... and once again, she was doing it in Notes. And you can probably guess what happened next... -- Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

About

Noteka

Features

Noteka is a notepad that never goes online. Your notes live in one file on your phone and nowhere else. No account, no sign-in, no sync, no server, no analytics. Turn on airplane mode and everything works exactly the same. LOCK IT Set a PIN, or use your fingerprint or face. The PIN itself is never stored — only a salted hash of it, and that never leaves your device. Decide whether Noteka locks the moment you put it down, or a few minutes later. NOTES AND CHECKLISTS Write freely, or tick things off. Both are the same kind of note, so a shopping list turns into a paragraph and back with one tap. Press and drag a card to reorder it, in list or grid view, and drag items inside a checklist. REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY ARRIVE Pick a date and time. Repeat once, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. They fire on the minute you chose, with no internet, and they survive a restart. TIMER Quick presets, or set hours, minutes and seconds exactly. The alert reaches you even with the app closed. KEEP IT TIDY Folders, pinned notes, seven card colours, an archive, search, and four ways to sort — including an order you drag into place yourself. IN YOUR LANGUAGE English, Türkçe, Español, Português, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Русский, العربية, हिन्दी, Bahasa Indonesia, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 and Nederlands. Noteka opens in your phone's language on its own. NOTEKA PRO — ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION The free version holds up to 30 notes, 3 reminders and 3 folders. Pro lifts every limit and adds backup and restore: one file with everything in it, saved wherever you choose. Because Noteka never uploads anything, that file is the only copy of your notes outside this phone. Notes you have already written stay readable and editable forever, with or without Pro. No subscription. No ads. No tracking. Nothing leaves your phone.
