About

Claire's Ranch

Features

Claire's story begins on a small ranch in the American West. Tend your fields, raise your animals, and ride out across open grassland to bring home wild buffalo. Then enter your best harvest at the Harvest Fair. Available in 10 languages: 한국어, English, 日本語, 简体中文, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia The game starts in your device language, and you can switch at any time at the gramophone on your porch. ■ BUILD YOUR RANCH WHERE YOU CHOOSE • Pick Kansas, Arizona, Colorado or California on the map of the United States and settle your home ranch. • Each region has its own herds, foraging yields and fair category. • Earn reputation and grow your ranch to open up the other regions one by one. ■ PLACE, BUILD AND UPGRADE • Place more than twenty kinds of facilities (coop, barn, stable, well, storage, dairy, smokehouse, clinic and more) and upgrade them step by step. • Move a building and the animals inside move with it. • Drag across the ground to lay gravel roads. ■ CROPS AND ANIMALS • Plant corn, wheat and pumpkins. Water and fertilizer change the quality and size of your harvest. • Care for each chicken, cow, buffalo and horse individually: feed, water, friendship and treatment. • Tap a building and Claire walks over to do the work herself. • Collect eggs and milk and process them into cheese, flour, feed, smoked fish and more to sell or deliver. ■ BREEDS AND BREEDING • Hereford, Angus, Longhorn, Leghorn and other breeds each have their own productive, hardy and gentle traits. • Breed two healthy animals and the young inherit their parents' traits. Cross two breeds for sturdier crossbred stock. • Thirsty or worn-out animals fall ill, and sickness spreads within a barn. Treat and vaccinate them at the clinic. Animals never die. ■ RANCH HANDS AND A SECOND RANCH • Hire stockmen, farmhands and guards from the staff quarters. They walk the yard feeding animals and watering fields. • Found an outpost ranch in another region and travel between them on the map. ■ WOLVES AT NIGHT • At night a wolf pack goes after your coops and barns. When you hear the howl, tap the wolves to chase them off. • Watchtowers, fences, guards and Claire's shooting skill keep the ranch safe. ■ RIDE OUT TO THE OPEN FIELD • Beyond the fence lie rolling hills, a creek and rocky bluffs. • Approach a buffalo herd quietly, throw your lasso, and keep the rope steady all the way home. Rush in and the herd bolts. • Name the animals you bring home. • Fish and pan for gold in the creek, and mine the rocks. ■ THE HARVEST FAIR • Choose your best pumpkin or corn and enter the fair. • Scoring rules are published before you enter, results go up on the fairground scoreboard, and you are told what would raise your score. • Win trophies, ribbons and sales contracts. • If you like, post your score under a nickname to this week's online ranking. Nothing is sent until you agree, and you can stop at any time. ■ RESEARCH AND SKILLS • Ranch Research makes feeding, watering, sowing, composting and deliveries more efficient. • Claire learns personal skills such as fishing, mining, wilderness survival and livestock care. ■ PLAY AT YOUR OWN PACE • No ads. Optional in-app purchases (horseshoes) are available, but the whole game is playable for free. No random items. • No account sign-up. Your ranch progress is saved on your device; only your horseshoe and speed-up balance is kept on our server. • Adjust music, sound effects, vibration and language at the gramophone on your porch. Landscape only. Send feedback from the gramophone menu in the game ("Send feedback to the developer").
