Sentinel

Sentinel is the fastest way to find, activate, and configure IP security cameras and recorders โ€” right from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Built for installers, integrators, and IT teams, Sentinel replaces the clunky desktop-only vendor tools with a modern app that just works on the equipment already in your pocket. DISCOVER EVERYTHING ON THE NETWORK โ€ข Finds ONVIF and SADP (Hikvision-compatible) devices in seconds โ€ข Uses standard multicast, so it sees devices even when their IP is outside your current subnet โ€ข Live results as devices respond โ€” no manual refresh โ€ข Shows model, firmware, MAC, serial, and current network settings at a glance ACTIVATE NEW DEVICES IN SECONDS โ€ข Bring brand-new, uninitialized cameras online without a laptop or serial cable โ€ข Set a strong admin password with a built-in strength meter โ€ข Encrypted activation handled securely on device RECONFIGURE THE NETWORK, ON SITE โ€ข Change a device's IP address, subnet mask, and gateway โ€ข Switch between static IP and DHCP โ€ข Fix a misconfigured camera without unplugging or factory resets โ€ข Note: discovery works across subnets, but changing settings or activating a device requires being on the same subnet as it SECURE BY DESIGN โ€ข Credentials stored in the iOS/macOS Keychain โ€” never in plain text โ€ข Password policy enforcement to keep every device hardened โ€ข Read-only ONVIF discovery; changes are explicit and deliberate WORKS WHERE YOU DO โ€ข Native SwiftUI app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac โ€ข Clean, fast interface designed for the field โ€ข Built-in troubleshooting guidance when a device won't appear WHY SENTINEL Commissioning a site used to mean dragging a laptop up a ladder, hunting for a serial cable, and juggling one clunky utility per brand. Sentinel puts discovery, activation, and network configuration in a single app that fits in your pocket โ€” so you can walk a site, bring devices online, and hand off a hardened, correctly-addressed network before you pack up. IMPORTANT Sentinel requires Local Network permission to discover devices. On iOS this is requested on first scan โ€” please allow it, or scanning cannot work. Sentinel is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any camera manufacturer. ONVIF is a trademark of the ONVIF consortium. About

Barcode Info

Features

Point your camera at any barcode and see what it actually encodes. No ads, no sign-up, and scanning works with no connection at all. Barcode Info identifies the code type, verifies the check digit, and tells you where the product's barcode was registered. Scan a QR code and it classifies the content: link, Wi-Fi network, contact card, email, phone number, and more. Scan a shipping label and it reads the fields the label carries. WHAT YOU GET - Symbology identification: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, ITF-14, QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417 - Check-digit validation for product codes (GTIN-8/12/13/14), with UPC-E expanded to its UPC-A equivalent - Country of registration from the GS1 prefix, with country flags, including special ranges such as in-store codes, ISBN, and ISSN - GS1 label fields on GS1-128 and GS1 DataMatrix codes: batch or lot, best before and expiry dates, serial number, pallet number (SSCC), weight and size - Content detection for QR codes: links (with one-tap open in browser), Wi-Fi, contacts, email, phone, SMS, location, calendar events - A photo of every scan: the camera frame the code was found in - Notes on any scan, with your earlier notes offered as one-tap chips - Filters for your history: by kind of code, by date, or scans with a note, a photo or a failed check digit - Scan history saved on your device: reopen any result, swipe to delete, or clear everything at once - On iPad held sideways, the list and the scan side by side - Scan from the Home Screen: press and hold the app icon and pick Scan BARCODE INFO PREMIUM An optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. Everything above stays free. Premium adds: - Folders: sort scans into folders, each with a color of your choice - Export: send your history out as a CSV or text file - Scan one after another: start the next scan straight from the result - More photos per scan: add your own, like the back of the pack or the price tag - Quick preview: hold a scan in the list to see what it holds Premium works with Family Sharing. HONEST BY DESIGN The GS1 prefix shows where the manufacturer registered the barcode, not where the product was made. Barcode Info says so, plainly, instead of pretending otherwise. In-store and company-internal codes are labeled as such rather than mapped to a misleading country. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Scanning and everything the app works out from a code happen on your device. The app goes online only when you buy or restore Premium, and Apple handles the payment. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your scan history and photos stay on your device.
