TETSUO is a chaotic percussion machine. No samples, no library. One voice built out of a pitched body with noise dragged through it, a resonant filter that saturates the harder you lean on it, a bitcrusher, and a waveshaper that runs from a bit of weight to total structural failure. The sequencer is sixteen unseen slots and STEPS knob decides how many of them fire, adding and taking away hits one at a time in a fixed order, so you can strip a pattern to the bone and build it back and the same beats come home. The SKIP control works against you on purpose, stealing hits at random while it plays, so it never quite settles. MUTATE modulates the pitch at random, setting fire to voices on every turn. You do not program TETSUO so much as negotiate with it. The strip along the top is how you attempt to hold onto anything. Sixty four steps, four turns of pattern, carved into as many as eight sections. Select a section. Find a sound. Hit RECORD, and that section keeps every knob position. Change it, record the next, then hit PLAY and it walks left to right dropping each snapshot in as it reaches it, looping. Drag the dividers to give a section longer or cut it short. It keeps settings, not audio, so the engine is playing live the entire way through. Sections save with your presets and your session. Fifteen factory presets to start from, and your own saved alongside them. A preset stores the knobs and the whole arrangement together. Tap the round gauge in the middle for presets, settings and the manual. AUv3 plugin and standalone app. Follows host tempo and transport, twelve automatable parameters, full MIDI control, factory and user presets, and a manual built into the app.

BATTUTA 8 is a patchable percussion instrument built around a dual-VCO impact voice and a direct eight-step performance sequencer. Create grounded kicks, metallic hits, noisy pulses and unstable mechanical strikes, then shape and recall them as complete musical states. 8-STEP IMPACT DECK The sequencer is part of the main instrument surface, not a hidden editor. Work with eight pitch steps and eight velocity steps, set tempo and pitch routing, and use dedicated PLAY, STOP, STEP, RESET, TRIGGER and CLOCK actions with live step feedback. Seven sequence slots auto-save independent complete instrument states: sequence, synthesis, patching and performance settings move together. Hold a knob or slider across a slot change and the touched value carries into the new slot and keeps writing there until release. MIDI keyswitches can recall slots, and the transition is dezippered to suppress hard audio discontinuities during playback. PERCUSSIVE VOICE Two wide-range oscillators provide waveform selection, hard sync and oscillator-to-oscillator FM. Mix them with noise, drive three fast one-shot envelopes, and shape the result with a resonant low-pass or high-pass filter and output VCA. IMPACT BODY + FLAVOUR IMPACT BODY adds a tuned damped resonator with mix, tuning, feedback and damping controls. FLAVOUR exposes oscillator colour, pulse bias, filter drive, slope, profile and character for more deliberate variation around the core voice. EXTENDED PERFORMANCE Open EXT for family FX, sequence slots, MIDI/MPE controller setup and Learn, performance controls, IMPACT BODY detail and SIG. The IMPACT signature macro has an editable target map and reusable signature presets, so one gesture can be tailored to each kit or performance. PATCH + MEMORY A 24-socket patch system covers trigger, velocity, envelopes, oscillator CV/FM, filter modulation, external audio, clock and audio outputs. The preset browser stores complete states, supports User memories, and recalls synthesis, sequence and patch configuration together. FEATURES • Dual wide-range VCO percussion voice with hard sync, FM and noise • Direct eight-step pitch and velocity impact deck • Fast VCO, VCF and VCA percussion envelopes • Resonant low-pass / high-pass filter • Tuned IMPACT BODY resonator • FLAVOUR oscillator and filter character controls • Seven full-state auto-saving sequence slots with touch-write and MIDI keyswitches • Editable IMPACT SIG mapping and signature presets • Family FX, MIDI/MPE controller setup and Learn • 24-point audio/CV/clock patch system • Complete-state Factory/User preset browser • Standalone + AUv3 instrument operation Support, bug reports and feature requests: support@alessandroguardascione.com
