One take. Two files. In DUAL mode, Reflara captures each shot as BOTH a vertical 9:16 and a horizontal 16:9 — saved as two separate, correctly framed files. The same take works for short-form feeds and for widescreen video — no reshoots, no re-cropping. Shoot once, get both. And Reflara is more than a dual-aspect recorder. It is a fully featured cinematic camera: a live graded viewfinder that shows your look before you press record, complete manual control, slow motion and time-lapse — all on one screen. No account, no sign-up, and nothing you shoot ever leaves your iPhone. THE SIGNATURE — DUAL-ASPECT • One take, both orientations: two files saved automatically • Rotation-aware framing, so each file is composed correctly • On-screen guide band shows both crops while you record • Works for photos too — a vertical and a horizontal frame from one shot LIVE GRADED VIEWFINDER • See your chosen look on the live image before you shoot — what you see is what you get • 7 built-in cinematic looks with an intensity slider, plus the ungraded Original • Import your own .cube LUTs • The look is baked in at export, so files come out ready to post CINEMATIC PRO CONTROLS • Manual ISO, shutter speed and white balance (temperature + tint) • Exposure (EV) slider, tap to focus, AE/AF lock • Focus peaking and zebra stripes for nailing focus and exposure • Level, grid (rule-of-thirds / golden ratio / center), zoom presets + pinch zoom CAPTURE MODES • Video, photo, slow motion, time-lapse and boomerang (forward + reverse) • 1080p at 30/60 fps and cinematic 24 fps — 4K at 30/60 fps with Pro • Slow motion at 120 fps — 240 fps with Pro on supported devices • 12 MP or 48 MP photos in HEIF; ProRAW (DNG) with Pro — 48 MP and ProRAW on supported devices • Multi-segment recording: pause and resume within one clip • Self-timer (3 or 10 s) and a front screen-flash for low light OUTPUT & SHARING • With Pro: watermark-free output and no recording time limit (the free version saves with a Reflara watermark and stops each recording at 90 seconds in total) • Save to your library with add-only permission: Reflara can add your shots, never read your photos • Two files for every dual-aspect shot, shared straight from the share sheet PRIVACY, BY DESIGN • 100% on-device — your videos and photos never leave your iPhone • No account, no email, no feed, no cloud upload • Purchases are verified through the App Store and our subscription verification service FREE & PRO Reflara is free to shoot with: the core camera, single-aspect capture, 2 looks plus Original, and 2 DUAL takes each for photo and video are included. Knurl is a camera for people who would rather develop the photo themselves. It captures true Bayer RAW: the sensor's own mosaic, written straight to a DNG with none of the computational photography that normally happens on the way. No multi-frame fusion, no tone curve, no sharpening. What lands in your library is undeveloped data with all of its latitude intact, ready for Lightroom or Photos to interpret however you like. THE CONTROLS ARE THE POINT A mode wheel you turn, with the real designations: P for program, Tv for shutter priority, Sv for ISO priority, M for full manual. Every position clicks. ISO and shutter move in thirds of a stop along the standard photographic ladders, on a dial that detents at every rung. Whole stops click harder than thirds, so you can count them by feel without looking. The ends of each ladder are the sensor's genuine limits rather than round numbers, which means base ISO, the cleanest the sensor gets, is actually reachable. Exposure compensation on its own scale, in thirds, with a firmer detent at zero. In manual it becomes the meter, because compensation has nothing left to act on when both controls are already fixed. An AF/MF switch and a focus ring you turn like a ring: relative, so touching it never jumps focus, and marked near to far rather than in invented distances. Three lenses, each at its native focal length, read from the hardware. HONEST ABOUT ITSELF Bayer RAW is 12 MP and does not permit zoom. The 48 MP path would mean Apple ProRAW, which is demosaiced and partially processed, so Knurl does not offer it. When the exposure you have asked for is not achievable, it says so rather than pretending. Your shots go to a Knurl album you can browse in the app, pinch to zoom, and swipe through. Volume buttons fire the shutter. Add the Control to your Action Button, Lock Screen or Control Center to open it without unlocking.
