Reflara

One take. Two files. In DUAL mode, Reflara captures each shot as BOTH a vertical 9:16 and a horizontal 16:9 — saved as two separate, correctly framed files. The same take works for short-form feeds and for widescreen video — no reshoots, no re-cropping. Shoot once, get both. And Reflara is more than a dual-aspect recorder. It is a fully featured cinematic camera: a live graded viewfinder that shows your look before you press record, complete manual control, slow motion and time-lapse — all on one screen. No account, no sign-up, and nothing you shoot ever leaves your iPhone. THE SIGNATURE — DUAL-ASPECT • One take, both orientations: two files saved automatically • Rotation-aware framing, so each file is composed correctly • On-screen guide band shows both crops while you record • Works for photos too — a vertical and a horizontal frame from one shot LIVE GRADED VIEWFINDER • See your chosen look on the live image before you shoot — what you see is what you get • 7 built-in cinematic looks with an intensity slider, plus the ungraded Original • Import your own .cube LUTs • The look is baked in at export, so files come out ready to post CINEMATIC PRO CONTROLS • Manual ISO, shutter speed and white balance (temperature + tint) • Exposure (EV) slider, tap to focus, AE/AF lock • Focus peaking and zebra stripes for nailing focus and exposure • Level, grid (rule-of-thirds / golden ratio / center), zoom presets + pinch zoom CAPTURE MODES • Video, photo, slow motion, time-lapse and boomerang (forward + reverse) • 1080p at 30/60 fps and cinematic 24 fps — 4K at 30/60 fps with Pro • Slow motion at 120 fps — 240 fps with Pro on supported devices • 12 MP or 48 MP photos in HEIF; ProRAW (DNG) with Pro — 48 MP and ProRAW on supported devices • Multi-segment recording: pause and resume within one clip • Self-timer (3 or 10 s) and a front screen-flash for low light OUTPUT & SHARING • With Pro: watermark-free output and no recording time limit (the free version saves with a Reflara watermark and stops each recording at 90 seconds in total) • Save to your library with add-only permission: Reflara can add your shots, never read your photos • Two files for every dual-aspect shot, shared straight from the share sheet PRIVACY, BY DESIGN • 100% on-device — your videos and photos never leave your iPhone • No account, no email, no feed, no cloud upload • Purchases are verified through the App Store and our subscription verification service FREE & PRO Reflara is free to shoot with: the core camera, single-aspect capture, 2 looks plus Original, and 2 DUAL takes each for photo and video are included. Reflara Pro unlocks dual-aspect capture, the full manual and cinematic controls, 4K and up to 240 fps slow motion, ProRAW capture on supported devices, the complete look pack with .cube LUT import, and watermark-free output. Pure Camera
Read full descriptionHide full description
Pure Camera brings authentic true photography to your iPhone. Images are rendered directly from the iPhone’s raw sensor data through a simulated film process rather than applying a filter to a preprocessed photograph. Most camera applications begin with a processed image and apply color grading. Pure Camera utilizes raw sensor data without multi-frame fusion, Smart HDR, sharpening, noise reduction, or upscaling. The result is a photograph developed through an authentic film emulation—incorporating gamma, color separation, interlayer effects, and grain—using traditional darkroom characteristics rather than post-processing adjustments. This unique approach produces authentic, unprocessed images.. Nine Film Stocks Options range from neutral, accurate profiles to saturated slide film, faded prints, motion-picture stock, and high-contrast black-and-white. Each profile is derived from genuine film properties rather than visual inspiration. Manual Control Users have full control over ISO, shutter speed, white balance, exposure compensation, and aspect ratio. Preferred settings may be saved to named banks and selected with a single tap, or the application may be left to manage exposure automatically. Grain as a Variable Grain is a selectable parameter rather than a fixed attribute. Settings include off, weak, normal, and strong; intensity scales realistically with exposure—subtle at low speeds and more pronounced at higher speeds. Reliable Viewfinder The preview is calibrated to match the final developed image, ensuring accurate framing rather than a generic live-view approximation. Pure Camera is designed for photographers who prefer traditional camera behavior: exposure, focus, and composition are user-defined, while the film handles the remainder authentically. Premium The application is fully functional but limited to the primary lens. Access to additional lenses is available via a one-time in-app purchase with family sharing enabled.

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Reflara at 18.0 against Pure Camera's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
