Trakam shows you where Amtrak trains actually are, right now, on a map. Open it and you see every active train in the country, moving, with its route drawn along the track underneath it and colored by whether it is running on time. Tap one for its speed, its status, and every stop on its trip with the scheduled time beside the projected one. Tap a station for the next arrivals and departures. No account. No sign-up. No ads. No tracking. WHAT YOU CAN DO • See every active Amtrak train on a live map, updating as they move • Tap any train for its current speed, how late it is running, and its next stop • Follow a train's full stop list — scheduled time, projected time, and the difference • Check any station's next arrivals and departures • Search by train number, route name, or station • Star the trains and stations you check often and reach them in one tap • Watch a route drawn along the real track, not a straight line between dots • Track a live train on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island with Live Activities. Updates refresh while Trakam is active, with best-effort background refresh managed by iOS; the activity shows when updates pause. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY Trakam has no account system, collects nothing about you, and shows no ads. Location access is optional — the map works fully without it. If you do grant it, your position is used only to draw you on the map alongside nearby trains, and it never leaves your device. ABOUT THE DATA Train positions, schedules, and station data come from Amtrak's own public live-map and static schedule feeds. That data can be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable, and Trakam shows it as it arrives. For anything that matters — making a connection, deciding when to leave for the station — confirm with Amtrak directly. Trains that have not yet departed, and routes Amtrak operates as Thruway buses rather than rail, are not shown as trains on the map. Trakam is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amtrak or the National Railroad Passenger Corporation. Requires iOS 17 or later. iPhone only.
