Give every photo a frame that shows how it was made. Exframe reads the EXIF metadata in your photos and turns it into clean, shareable frames. Import photos, choose a template, decide which details to show, and export finished images without rewriting camera settings for every post. Built for photographers, camera enthusiasts, manual-lens users, bloggers, and creators who share work on social media, photography communities, or portfolios. Metadata and manual lenses - Read camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation, date, location, and copyright details. - Review and edit every displayed value before export. - Save manual or vintage lens profiles and apply a different profile to each photo. - Photos from lenses without electronic contacts can be exported even when EXIF aperture is missing. - Reorder fields, choose separators, and restore original values at any time. Location names - Automatically load place names when importing photos that contain GPS data. - Choose country, city, or neighborhood detail and the display language. - Look up one photo or several GPS photos together. Frames and export - Process and export up to 20 photos in one project. - Choose templates, maker display, Exframe marks, date style, frame margins, and visible fields. - Use presets for blogs, square posts, 4:5 portraits, stories, or high-quality archives. - Select aspect ratio, quality, and output size without cropping the photo. - Export JPEG or WebP, save to Photos, or open the system share sheet. - JPEG exports retain original GPS metadata; WebP exports do not include EXIF. Privacy Photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the developer's server. When you enable place-name lookup, only the coordinates and display language required for the lookup are sent to an external reverse-geocoding service.

Put your camera settings on a clean EXIF frame, or see and remove a photo's metadata (location, camera, serial numbers), on your iPhone or iPad with nothing uploaded. Previewing frames and viewing metadata are free; a one-time purchase unlocks saving and sharing. Add a clean frame to your photo with the camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed and ISO — read from the photo's own camera data (EXIF), right on your iPhone or iPad. Shotspec opens the ORIGINAL file, so the details your camera recorded are really there: pick a photo from your library or open a camera file from Files (JPG, HEIC, DNG and the camera RAW formats iOS can open). The frame is added AROUND the photo — your picture is never covered or cropped. • FIVE LAYOUTS — Bar (camera and lens on the left, settings on the right), Instant (a deep bottom border with a centred caption), Gallery (a thin even border with a small spaced caption), Minimal (one quiet line) and Film (a dark border with edge-print type and your own film-stock line). • YOUR STYLE — white, cream, gray, charcoal or black frames; automatic, dark, gray, white or amber text; light, regular or bold type; a border-size slider. • SOCIAL SHAPES — keep the original shape or reach 4:5, 1:1 or 9:16 by adding border, never by cropping. • PHOTOGRAPHER'S NOTATION — f/1.8, 1/250 s, 0.5 s, 30 s, ISO 400, 35 mm and the 35 mm equivalent for phones and crop sensors. Duplicated or corporate camera names are tidied. • FILL IN THE GAPS — anything the file doesn't carry stays hidden (never "0 mm"), and you can type your own camera, lens or settings, plus a custom line for a place, a film stock or your name. Show or hide the date taken. • KEEPS THE FILE — the saved photo is full resolution, keeps its camera data and color (sRGB or Display P3), and you choose whether its location data stays. JPG or HEIC. • SEE AND REMOVE METADATA — see every field a photo carries (location, camera and lens, serial numbers, dates, software, author) and save copies without it: everything, or only the location. One photo or a whole batch; your originals are never changed. • PRIVATE — everything happens on your device. No account, no upload. Camera names are written as text; no camera-maker logos are added. A photo with no camera data (a screenshot, an edited copy) shows empty fields until you type the values. Picking a photo, previewing every layout and option, and seeing a photo's metadata are free. A one-time purchase unlocks saving and sharing framed photos and clean copies. Questions: overlapmarr@gmail.com

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Exframe at none against Shotspec's 1. Exframe also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Shotspec's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
