About

Gesture Search

Features

Draw a letter with your finger and find what you need. No keyboard required. Gesture Search turns the whole screen into a canvas. Write letters or numbers anywhere and results appear as you draw: your contacts, shortcuts to apps on your iPhone, and the app's own settings page. HOW IT WORKS • Draw one letter at a time. Characters with several strokes, like A, E or K, are supported. • Swipe left to delete the last character, or swipe right to clear the search. • Tap a result to open it. Tap the call button on a contact to call them. FEATURES • On-device handwriting recognition: what you draw never leaves your iPhone. • Contacts: find people by name, by initials ("jp" finds "Juan Pérez") or by phone number ("611" finds the contact with that number). Accents don't matter. • Apps: shortcuts to popular apps you have installed. • Smart suggestions based on what you open most, which you can clear at any time. • Voice search as an alternative input. • Optional haptic and sound feedback. • Light, dark and system themes, custom accent color and adjustable stroke width. • Available in English and Spanish. PRIVACY Gesture Search has no account, no ads and no servers of its own. Your contacts, history and settings stay on your device. Contacts access is optional; with limited access, only the contacts you choose are searched. The handwriting model is downloaded once per language. Voice search uses Apple speech recognition. The app never tracks you. Privacy policy: https://plastelino.github.io/gesture-search-privacy/
