Tally makes you faster at mental math — genuinely, measurably faster — with a few focused minutes a day. No childish games, no ads, no accounts. Just a beautifully quiet training room, an adaptive engine, and numbers that start obeying you. TRAINING THAT FITS YOU Every mode tracks its own skill rating. Answer quickly and correctly and the problems grow harder; struggle and they ease off. Tally aims to keep you around 80–85% accuracy — the zone where practice feels challenging, never punishing. A five-problem calibration on first launch means even your first session fits. EIGHT MODES • Add & Subtract — from single digits to four-digit carrying • Multiply — tables through two-by-two digit products • Divide — exact division, then remainders (real mod arithmetic) • Percentages — always exact, never rounded lies • Fractions — add, compare, simplify • Squares & Roots — squares to 25², perfect roots • Powers of 10 — the decimal-shifting reflex • Mixed Gauntlet — everything, blended FIVE WAYS TO TRAIN • Practice — ten adaptive problems, untimed • Sprint — 60, 120, or 180 seconds against the clock • Zen — endless, no score, ambient calm • Gauntlet — twenty problems, three lives, rising difficulty • Daily Challenge — ten problems, date-seeded, the same ten for every Tally user on Earth. Compare your standing when you finish. PROGRESS YOU CAN SEE XP, levels, and ranks from Novice to Grandmaster. A skill graph per mode. Speed trends, your weakest operations detected automatically, and a training heatmap. After every session, a magazine-style review shows each problem, your time, and the mental-math trick you could have used. A STREAK WORTH KEEPING The ember on your home screen grows with your streak — 7, 30, 100, 365 days. Miss a day as a Pro member and a Streak Freeze covers it automatically, two per month. Reminders are gentle, optional, and honest. DESIGNED LIKE IT MATTERS Typography-first interface. A flagship dark mode. Custom haptics on every key. Subtle Metal-rendered moments when you get it right. Full Reduce Motion support. No third-party code, no analytics SDKs — your data never leaves your device. FREE VS PRO Free forever: Add & Subtract, Multiply, and Percentages practice, Zen mode, the Daily Challenge, one Sprint a day, streaks and levels. A feed of mental-math puzzles you can swipe like a timeline. Tap a card and it gives you the answer, and then the shortcut that gets you there without a pen. MADE, NOT STORED Every card is built on your phone the moment you reach it, from 58 problem types across 10 topics, so the feed never ends. Scroll back and the cards are where you left them; tomorrow brings a fresh set. THE TRICK, NOT JUST THE ANSWER An answer on its own teaches you nothing. Every card names the shortcut behind it (break the tens, anchor at 50, build it from 10%, pay the complement, take the gap out first) and opens onto the worked steps one at a time, plus a short explanation of why the shortcut is allowed at all. A TEST EVERY TENTH CARD Nine cards, then a quick three-option test on one you have just read. The wrong options are near-misses built by nudging the real answer, so guessing does not pay. PRACTICE A five-question round, three options each, scored at the end. Get one wrong and it shows you the answer and the first step towards it, then offers the full working. FOUR GAMES Swipe left from the feed, or tap the Σ ring for Numerhold: hold the line by cutting numbers with their primes, with upgrades between waves and a Σ quiz that charges your power. Numerate, Numerun and Numerise: fast rounds on the same math. All four run on the phone. POINTS, TIERS, A STREAK Points come from the tests in the feed and nowhere else. A test pays 10 points at Gentle, up to 50 at Expert, and answering quickly earns up to that much again on top. Points carry you from Bronze to Diamond. Reading cards and playing Practice do not score, but they keep your streak, your daily goal and your seven-day chart. IT WORKS ON A PLANE The feed, Practice, the games, your saved cards, your streak and your numbers all run on the device with no network at all. Airplane mode changes nothing. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED No sign-up wall, no email to confirm; one tap on first launch picks the app's voice. If you want to, you can sign in with Apple, the only method offered, and that adds three things: your streak follows you to a new phone, you appear on the global board under a name you choose, and you can join a group and play its league. Never sign in and your progress stays on the phone. AND, IF YOU WANT COMPANY Groups: up to thirty people behind a six-character code, playing a season of ten live matches. Whoever starts the group picks the night, the hour and how often it comes round (every day, every week or every month) and the difficulty, from elementary to Fields Medal, so the questions fit the room. Fixtures run live in the group's time zone: ten questions served one at a time, with the table moving while you watch, and a lobby to talk in for the ten minutes before the first question. Nothing said in the lobby is ever stored: when the doors close, the conversation is gone. Reminders come an hour before a match and again five minutes before, and two easy puzzles a day, hours apart, all made on your phone; Profile or Settings switches them off. Entirely optional, and the rest of the app never asks about it. TEN TOPICS Multiplying, Squares, Percents, Fractions, Sequences, Algebra, Probability, Estimation, Word problems and Quant. Follow all ten or narrow it to the one you want to master. STILL STUCK? ASK AI With Apple Intelligence, tap Ask AI on any solution: Apple's on-device model re-explains the steps in plainer words and answers your questions; nothing leaves your device. An optional monthly subscription (price and term shown first, cancel any time in Settings), good on every device on your Apple Account. The tutor needs Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later, or an iPad that supports it, on iOS 26). Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Read aloud speaks the problem, the daily goal is yours to set, and the feed can be held to one difficulty, Gentle to Expert, or left mixed. No adverts. No third-party tracking. No account required.
