Oponeko vs School Time App

Oponeko is an all-in-one school platform that brings students, guardians, and staff into one secure space. From announcements and chat to billing, attendance, and exam results, everything your school community needs is a tap away. Whether you're a student checking your timetable, a parent paying a term's fees, or a teacher sending a message to a class, Oponeko keeps you connected and informed. KEY FEATURES Announcements Schools send targeted messages with attachments to students, guardians, and staff. Never miss an important update again. Real-time Chat Message classmates, teachers, and class groups. Chat is role-aware and organised around classes and groups so conversations stay focused. Community Post, comment, and react within a private, moderated space built for your school — not the open internet. Billing and Payments View invoices, payment schedules, tax details, and catalog items. Pay securely from your phone and keep a clean record of every transaction. School Store Browse your school's catalog, add items to a cart, and place orders for uniforms, books, and other approved items. Assessments and Results Check exam results, view grades, and track progress across sessions. Teachers can record and publish results using the grading scale set by the school. Course Registration and Classroom Register for courses, follow lesson plans, and access classroom materials — all organised by session. Attendance Mark or view attendance, with optional location-based check-in when your school requires it. Voting and Polls Schools run polls for elections, events, and decisions. Students and staff submit responses and view results as configured. Notifications In-app and push notifications keep you current on announcements, messages, invoices, and results. Preferences let you control what you receive. Guardian Access Guardians are linked to their students and can view results, bills, attendance, and messages for the children they are responsible for. Staff Tools Teachers and admin staff manage classes, students, and duties through role-based permissions, so people only see what they should. Profile Management Update your profile and submit changes for admin approval to keep school records accurate and auditable. Activity Log Every important action is recorded so administrators have a clear audit trail. SECURITY AND PRIVACY Oponeko is built for schools, which means your data is fenced to your school. Every request is scoped so that one school cannot see or change another school's data. Two-factor authentication is available for added protection, and password reset flows are secure by default. Role-based access control ensures students, guardians, and staff each see only the information relevant to them. WHO IT'S FOR Oponeko is designed for primary, secondary, and tertiary schools that want to replace paper memos, scattered chat apps, and spreadsheets with one modern platform. It works equally well for a small school and for a school running multiple branches and sessions. GETTING STARTED Ask your school's administrator for your account. If your school is not on Oponeko yet, have them reach out — onboarding is straightforward and we support you every step of the way. Oponeko — one platform for your whole school.
