GOA

Margin is a pursuit puzzle you win with your head, not your thumbs. Every level is a small board. You move one square at a time. So do the hunters — and they always take the step that brings them closest to you. That is the whole rule, and it is also the whole trick: because you know exactly what they will do, you can decide where they end up. An arrow above each hunter shows the step it is about to take. Read the arrows, and a level stops being a chase and becomes a plan: pull the pack one way, slip through the gap they leave, walk out through the exit. • Three tiers: Easy, Medium and Hard. Each one puts more hunters on the board and less room between them. • Inventory and heroes: pick one of 16 heroes to play on the board; earns bonus points on every Medium and Hard win. Buy with gems or try one for a day by watching an ad. Your first hero is a gift. • Regions: besides Classic, play Town (sleepers), Winter Festival (ice) and Castle (key). Each has its own rule and lesson; points and leaderboard stay the same. • Daily Board: one board for everyone, every day, separately for Easy, Medium and Hard. Solve it to earn 20 points on Easy, 200 on Medium or 400 on Hard, and claim your spot in the daily ranking. • Friends and challenges: add friends by name or player number and challenge them in real time on the same boards. The first to reach the end wins; rematches, draws and your head-to-head record included. • 48 titles to earn, plus weekly and all-time leaderboards on Game Center. • Every level is generated and then solved by the game before you ever see it. If it is offered to you, it can be beaten. • Every board shows its minimum move count. Each extra move costs a point (up to 5), so the shortest escape earns the most. • A hint when you are stuck, and a fresh board whenever you want one. • No timers, no lives, no energy to wait for. Think as long as you like. • Plays in portrait, one thumb, anywhere. There is no margin for error. There is exactly one square of it.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Mini Riot at none against GOA's shown. GOA's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mini Riot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and GOA sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Mini Riot ships an update weekly, GOA every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
