Your day, journaled for you. Liner Notes is an auto diary and voice journal that drafts your day from your photos, sleep, steps, heart rate and conversations, and keeps the time you spend with the people who matter as memories. No account. Your records stay on your iPhone. PHOTOS, SLEEP, STEPS WRITE YOUR DAY Your places, photos, plans, sleep, steps and workouts are already a draft of the day. Read it, change only what you want, and keep it. On days you'd rather talk, one line into the mic is plenty. YOUR HEART RATE, TENSE OR RELAXED With Apple Watch, your heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) are compared with your usual self at that time of day, so a timeline shows when your body was tense and when it was relaxed. Plans, places, workouts and sleep sit alongside. After a workout, see how your heart rate came back down. This feature is for keeping and reflecting on your days. It is not intended for diagnosis or medical use. TIME WITH PEOPLE, IN THEIR WORDS Keep a conversation from a spoken note, and it's transcribed on your iPhone and split by speaker; summaries are made with Apple's Private Cloud Compute. The recording is deleted once it's text. Whether to tell people in the room is up to you. Conversations with people you name become part of your memories of them. FROM APPLE WATCH, TOO One press on your wrist starts recording. Your iPhone takes it from there. HEART RATE AND VOICE AS YOU TALK Your heart rate, the pitch of your voice, how much each of you talked, and laughter line up over a conversation, so you can see where it came alive. SEE HOW YOUR RELATIONSHIPS SHIFT Who you spent time with, and on what. People become glass particles and topics become capsules that shift as time plays. Liner Notes also tells you in plain words who appeared for the first time and who you haven't seen in a while. A PICTURE AND A SONG FOR EVERY DAY Each day's entry gets a picture and a song that fits. Each morning, a short note picks up from the day before, and at the end of the week, a letter to you arrives from seven days of records. YOUR RECORDS STAY ON YOUR IPHONE - There is no account - Your diary and conversations are stored on your iPhone - You choose where text is created in Settings: on your iPhone, Apple's private cloud, or OpenAI. OpenAI is used only with your consent, while you subscribe or during the preview - Export every record anytime as Markdown or as a full copy NO STREAKS, NO GUILT No streak counters, no "you missed a day" messages. While you're away, the automatic record keeps going, and it's waiting when you come back. FEATURES - A diary draft from places, photos, plans, sleep and steps - A day timeline from heart rate and HRV (tense and relaxed) - Conversation records with speakers and summaries, and recording from Apple Watch - Heart rate, voice pitch and laughter over a conversation - Workout heart rate and how it came back down afterward - Atlas: how people and topics shift over time, with highlights - The day's picture and tonight's song - A morning note and a weekly letter - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri and the Action Button - Records calendar and "One year ago today" - Export as Markdown or a full copy, and a daily copy to iCloud Drive PRICING The daily diary, automatic records, drafting and polishing, and export are free forever, plus a morning note once a week. Your first 3 mornings (up to 7 days) let you try the subscription with no card and no automatic charge. The subscription adds a morning note every day, weekly letters, conversation records, the day's picture and tonight's song. Family Sharing supported. Full playback of tonight's song requires an Apple Music subscription. Keep the days that slip away. Get to know your daily patterns with Cyclune: an Apple Health-based Daily Rhythm Score and classic biorhythm cycles in one private app. RHYTHM — YOUR DAILY PATTERNS With your permission, Cyclune reads the last 14 days of Apple Health data to estimate a Daily Rhythm Score (0–100). Explore sleep timing, sleep duration, daytime activity, activity consistency, heart recovery and daylight. The confidence indicator shows how much usable data supports your score. Free access includes your score and up to three available factors, with insights and tips based on those factors. Pro opens the full six-factor breakdown, insights based on all available factors, a 14-day score history, today’s activity timeline and advanced 24-hour activity rhythm analysis. Available results depend on your Health data; at least three useful days are needed. CLASSIC — EXPLORE YOUR CYCLES Enter your date of birth to explore traditional biorhythm curves. Physical and Emotional cycles, an energy ring, charts and a 7–90-day forecast are free. Pro adds Intellectual, Intuitive, Spiritual, Aesthetic and Charismatic cycles, detailed insights, trends and next peak/trough forecasts. Compare up to three local profiles: two cycles for free, all seven with Pro. Classic biorhythms are for entertainment and self-reflection, not scientifically validated predictions. APPLE WATCH & WIDGETS Keep your latest Rhythm and Classic summaries close with the companion Apple Watch app and watch face complications. Watch summaries refresh from your paired iPhone. The Watch interface is in English. Pro also includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking and no Cyclune cloud server. Health data is read only and processed on your iPhone. Compact summaries can sync to your paired Apple Watch; nothing is uploaded to us. Share cards only when you choose. Optional reminders are local. PRO — ONE PURCHASE Unlock Pro with one optional in-app purchase. No subscription and no recurring charges. Restore your purchase with the same Apple ID. Cyclune is a self-observation tool. Its scores and insights are estimates, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or a measure of readiness. Apple Health access is optional; Classic works without it.

Verdict
Liner Notes and Cyclune are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Liner Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Cyclune sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
