Chess Call
Read full descriptionHide full description
ChessCall is the easy way to play chess with the people you already know. It works like a chat app: pick a contact, send them a link, and once they join you play a real game of chess while messaging back and forth with text and voice. CHALLENGE YOUR CONTACTS Start a chat with anyone in your contacts and challenge them to chess. They tap your invite link and you're playing, no usernames, no sign-ups, just your Apple devices and iCloud. A REAL GAME, WITH A CLOCK Full chess rules, castling, en passant, promotion, check and checkmate, plus a proper chess clock. Choose 3, 5, or 10 minutes, or play with no clock at all. CHAT WHILE YOU PLAY Send text and voice messages right inside the game. Voice notes can play automatically so you never miss a word, and you can turn that off whenever you like. YOUR PRIVATE RIVALRIES There's no global leaderboard. Instead, ChessCall quietly keeps the head-to-head score between you and each contact, so you always know who's ahead. PRACTICE ANY TIME No one around to play? Practice offline against the built-in opponent and set the strength anywhere from beginner to expert. ON YOUR WRIST ChessCall runs on Apple Watch too. Play a full multiplayer or practice game right on the watch, no iPhone needed. And when it is your move in a real game, the watch shows the board so you can answer from your wrist with or without the iphone near by. WORKS EVERYWHERE A universal app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. Your games sync through your own iCloud. PRIVATE BY DESIGN ChessCall has no servers of its own. Your games and messages live in your iCloud and are shared only with the people you play. No ads, no tracking, no analytics. Requires an iCloud account. Playing with others requires each player to have ChessCall and be signed into iCloud.

Chess with depth, presence and atmosphere. Kruna brings the complete game to a three-dimensional board. Six interchangeable worlds, carefully crafted pieces and subtle sounds give every game its own mood — on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Your board, your pieces Choose classic Staunton pieces, crystal glass or wood in light maple and dark walnut. Rotate and zoom the 3D board, switch sides or use the clear 2D view. Seasonal Croatian decorations add variety on selected days; you can turn these surprises off. Play your way • Against the on-device computer opponent at four difficulty levels. • With a second player on the same device. • Without a time limit, or with bullet, blitz, rapid and classical chess clocks. • With optional legal-move guides and a highlight for the last move. Castling, en passant, promotion, checkmate, stalemate and the relevant draw rules are all part of the game. Kruna records moves in algebraic chess notation. You can take back moves in local games and against the computer. Something to think about every day 180 chess puzzles are arranged in 60 daily sets, each with three learning levels. Step-by-step hints help you along; you can replay solutions move by move. The puzzle cycle starts again after 60 days. Start here, continue there Games in progress are saved locally; completed games are archived with their moves. If you wish, Kruna syncs your local games and games against the computer through your private iCloud account. You can then continue them on another device you own using the same iCloud account. If different game states arise, they are kept as separate variants. You can keep playing locally when offline. Your game as a movie Relive a game as a short movie with selected scenes or as a full replay, accompanied by music and game effects. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, export and share movies in 1080p or space-saving 720p. On Apple TV, you can watch the movies. Your iPhone as a personal controller Use your iPhone to control a local game on iPad, Mac or Apple TV on the same network. Even against the computer, your iPhone controls your side while the big board stays on the other device. As quiet as you like Adjust music and game effects separately. Local games, the computer opponent and puzzles work offline. Kruna does not require a separate user account. Just start playing Three new games per day are free. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited new games, with no subscription. You can continue games you have already started; puzzles and game movies do not use up your free games.
