Shiftpad vs Turnus Shift Rota Planner

Shiftpad is the rotating shift planner for nurses, factory workers, retail staff, and anyone working irregular shift patterns. Set up your rotation once and your calendar fills in automatically — no manual entry day by day. UNLIMITED SHIFT TYPES Create Early, Late, Night, or any custom shift — each with its own color, start/end time, break duration, and hourly pay rate. Unlike competitors, there is no cap on the number of shift types in the free tier. ROTATION PATTERNS Choose from Panama (2-2-3), 3-on-4-off, Continental (Konti), or build a fully custom rotation. Set an anchor date and the app projects your schedule months ahead. Override any day with a single tap. OVERNIGHT SHIFTS — HANDLED CORRECTLY Night shifts crossing midnight are shown with the correct duration, pay calculation, and reminder timing. PAY & HOURS SUMMARY View your total hours and estimated earnings per week or month, broken down by shift type. Overtime is flagged when you exceed your configured weekly threshold. SHIFT REMINDERS Local notifications fire before each upcoming shift — choose your lead time: 30 min, 1 h, 2 h, or 12 h before start. GERMAN-FIRST Full German localization. The app name changes to "Schichtplaner" on German-language devices. Pre-loaded German shift names: Frühschicht, Spätschicht, Nachtschicht. FREE WITH ADS — PRO REMOVES THEM Shiftpad is free and ad-supported. Every scheduling feature stays free. The optional Pro upgrade (subscription or one-time lifetime purchase) simply removes ads and supports development. A shift calendar that knows your week. Tap a day, pick a shift, done. Or set your rotation once and see the whole year. Your next shift is on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you never open the app just to look. THREE TAPS, A WHOLE YEAR Choose a pattern (2-2-2-4, 2-2-2-2, 4 on 4 off, Mon–Fri), pick the first day, apply. Days you set by hand are never overwritten. Two shifts a day, custom hours, a Clear tool with Undo. ONE GLANCE The month grid is the app: every shift in its own colour, today outlined, the hours you actually work in the biggest digits on screen. Week view adds up your hours. With Pro, events from your other calendars show as small dots so you can plan life around work. WIDGETS AND LOCK SCREEN Today and the next shift on the home screen, seven days in the medium widget, the next shift on the lock screen, and a Live Activity that counts down from eight hours before a shift. Optional reminders before each shift. LEAVE, SICK DAYS, MORE THAN ONE JOB Mark leave and sick days; see how many days of leave you have left this year. With Pro, keep a second workplace in the same calendar, with its own colours, payday and pay rules. YOUR HOURS, YOUR PAY (PRO) This month's total is free. Pro adds the breakdown — night, weekend and public-holiday premiums, weekly overtime — every other month and the year, the next payday, and the totals per workplace and combined. Public holidays for 26 countries are built in, down to the state or region. SWAP WITH COLLEAGUES (PRO) Invite your team with a link. See who is on with you on the same grid. Ask to swap a shift, or to have one covered; when they accept, both calendars update — the right days, not just the labels. Family can be invited view-only, and they don't need Pro. EXPORT (PRO) CSV of your shifts, and one-way export of your shifts into the iOS Calendar that updates instead of duplicating. Plus a one-page PDF of any month, however old. NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT. NO TRIAL. Free forever: the calendar, patterns, leave, import, widgets, Live Activity, week hours, this month's pay total, iCloud sync and sharing a week as an image. Pro adds the full pay estimate, team & swaps, a second workplace, your other calendars and exports — a yearly subscription that auto-renews until cancelled, or a single lifetime purchase. The price is on screen before you tap anything. COMING FROM ANOTHER SHIFT APP Export your roster as .ics or .csv and open it here: Turnus shows exactly what it would add before it adds anything. Free. Everything stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. No server of ours, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Thirteen languages.
