StitchTracker is your calm, capable companion for cross stitching on iPad and iPhone. Import OXS cross-stitch patterns and mark every stitch as you go — full crosses, half, three-quarter and petite stitches, backstitch outlines, beads, and other ornaments. Which pattern files can I use? StitchTracker opens .oxs charts (Open Cross Stitch — an open, widely supported pattern format) and .stitchx archives exported from the app. It works from the pattern data itself — every stitch, colour and backstitch — which is what makes exact counts, per-colour progress, part stitches and timelapse possible. Many designers include an .oxs file with the pattern or send one on request, and most desktop cross-stitch design programs can save a chart as .oxs. The built-in demo pattern lets you try everything before you import anything. Designed for real stitching sessions See a clear, easy-to-scan thread list with per-colour progress rings and exactly how many stitches remain in each colour. Park markers show where you left off, and an optional gentle water reminder helps you stay refreshed during longer sessions. Watch your progress come alive Your stitching is recorded automatically as a timelapse trail. Replay your project, scrub through its history, and export an MP4 video in portrait, square, or landscape format — up to 4K on compatible iPads. Statistics for each pattern show your stitching time, pace, longest streak and frogged stitches, and they update as you stitch. Celebrate every milestone Earn pixel-art badges for stitching streaks, colour milestones, and finished projects. Finish a colour for a small burst of confetti, and reach 100% to enjoy confetti and a fanfare. The Year in Stitches recap brings together your progress across all projects. Your patterns, your choice StitchTracker works offline, with no account, sign-up, or third-party tracking. Your patterns are stored on your device. If you choose iCloud sync, you can keep selected patterns and their progress up to date across your iPad and iPhone. More features • Fast, crisp vector pattern rendering for large charts • Home Screen widget with live project progress • Realistic fabric previews with a choice of materials • Highlight one colour to find your place instantly • Coordinate rulers on all four sides and centre guides • Bold grid lines with your own spacing and offset • Diagonal guide lines with your own spacing, offset and colour • Black-and-white chart mode with clear symbols • Full undo and redo support • Import and export .oxs files; back up complete projects as .stitchx • Five colour themes to match your mood • Available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, and Italian StitchTracker is free. Purl keeps your patterns, your projects and your yarn in one place. It works the same for knitting and crochet. There is no account to make, and your data stays on your device unless you choose to export it. FOLLOW YOUR PATTERN • Open your PDF patterns, draw on them, highlight and add notes. • Lay a colored band across your row and move it up as you go. It counts the rows for you. • Line up a printed chart, and Purl lights the stitch you are on. • Photograph a paper pattern, and Purl turns the pages into one PDF. • Share PDFs to Purl from Files, Mail, Books or Safari, several at once. • Learning from a video? Watch it from YouTube inside your project, with your counters beside it. DRAW YOUR OWN CHARTS • Color charts: fill in square by square, or start from a photo. • Crochet charts (Beta): draw a line with a finger or an Apple Pencil, and Purl fills it with evenly spaced stitches. Write a round the way a pattern reads, such as "[3 dc, ch 2] 3 times", and Purl draws it. • Knit charts (Beta): knit, purl, decreases and cables on a grid, followed row by row. • Send a chart as a Purl file, and another Purl user can open and edit it. PROJECTS AND STASH • Follow each project from plan to finished, with photos, the yarn and the gauge you actually got. • Note each yarn's color, dye lot and weight, and see how many meters and grams you have. Purl knows about 20 Nordic yarn brands. • Scan a ball band to find a yarn you already have. Purl also spots a new color of a yarn you own. • Find a pattern for a yarn you own, or yarn for a pattern. HANDY TOOLS • A calculator that works out your gauge, spreads increases and decreases evenly, and says how many skeins to buy. • Counters, and knitting and crochet terms in English and Norwegian. • Anything you delete waits 30 days in Recently deleted. • Light and dark mode. On an iPad, your list sits beside what you have open. HOW PURL BEGAN Some girls want flowers. Mine is allergic, so I had to get creative. What she really wanted was a knitting app with all the tools her old app kept behind a paywall. So I built one, with every tool she needed. This is Purl, my digital love letter. Thank you for giving it a try.
