Patchsynth
Read full descriptionHide full description
Patchsynth is a Eurorack-style modular synthesizer for iPhone and iPad â and a place to actually learn how modular synthesis works, one patch cable at a time. Instead of a fixed synth engine with knobs, you build your own instrument by dragging cables between modules: oscillators into filters, envelopes into amplifiers, LFOs wobbling anything you point them at. If you've ever wanted to understand what a Eurorack rig actually does, this is the fastest way in. LEARN BY PATCHING, NOT BY READING 28 hands-on Lessons cover every module, from your first oscillator to full generative patches â some just explain, others build a real patch step-by-step in front of you as you tap "Next." No prior synthesis knowledge required. TRAIN YOUR EAR 15 Challenges hide a patch and play it for you â your job is to rebuild it by ear, with hints if you get stuck. A genuinely fun way to internalize how filters, envelopes, and modulation actually sound. 21 REAL MODULES Oscillator ¡ Filter ¡ VCA ¡ ADSR Envelope ¡ LFO ¡ Noise ¡ Delay ¡ Reverb ¡ Mixer ¡ Sequencer ¡ Arpeggiator ¡ Clock ¡ Attenuverter ¡ Quantizer ¡ Slew Limiter ¡ Sample & Hold ¡ Logic ¡ Ring Modulator ¡ Sampler ¡ Keyboard ¡ Output (with a live oscilloscope) Record your own sounds with the Sampler, or use the built-in factory drum kit. Quantize any CV to a musical scale. Chain multiple clocks for polyrhythms. It's a real modular rig, just without the cables costing $30 each. 70+ FACTORY PATCHES From simple bass and pad sounds to sprawling, 20+ module "flagship" patches â browse them, load them, take them apart to see how they're wired, then make them your own. PLAY IT WITH REAL GEAR Full MIDI support over Bluetooth or USB â plug in any MIDI keyboard or controller and play your patch's Keyboard module directly, no setup beyond pairing. BUILT FOR TOUCH, NOT PORTED FROM DESKTOP Every interaction â dragging cables, turning knobs, panning and zooming a big patch â is designed for a phone screen from the ground up. A dedicated Patch Bay view even gives you a spreadsheet-style matrix of every connection when patches get complex. Undo and redo everything. Save as many patches as you like. No ads, no in-app purchases, no internet connection required â just synthesis.

Melodai is a desktop-class DAW for iPhone, iPad, and Mac: multi-track editing, instruments you can play, a full FX rack, and on-device AI for jam, stems, and sheet scan. The mix stays on your device. RECORD AND ARRANGE Build a song on a real timeline. Audio, voice, loops, and MIDI tracks live in one project. Move, split, duplicate, and snap clips. Record from the mic or into the instrument you have open, with count-in and overdub. Undo walks a change back. PLAY THE INSTRUMENTS Select a track and the dock becomes the instrument: keys, drums, guitar, bass, 808, synth, violin, saxophone, or Guzheng. Tap, play, and record MIDI, then edit notes in the piano roll. MIX AND SHAPE A studio FX rack on every track and on the master: parametric EQ, 10-band EQ, compressor, limiter, reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, distortion, and pitch. Drop in loops from a bundled library filed by drums, bass, keys, guitar, synth, strings, vocals, and genre. Clean a take with on-device noise reduction. ON-DEVICE AI Jam: hold notes, pick a style â Lo-Fi, Dark Jazz, Trap, Orchestral, and more â and generate a take on Apple silicon. Prompt Mixer: blend style terms on faders and generate into the mix you dialled in. Stems: split a song into bass, drums, other, and vocal, then open it as a four-track session. Sheet scan: photograph a piano score and open MIDI you can play and edit. MIDI import: drop a .mid file and it becomes tracks and notes, not a dead bounce. Jam, stems, sheet scan, and noise reduction run with Core ML on your device. Your recordings are not uploaded to finish an edit. Optional text-to-arrangement compose sends only a prompt, never your audio. EXPORT Share MP3 or AAC. Bounce lossless WAV, AIFF, or 32-bit float CAF when the file has to leave as audio. iPhone, iPad, and Mac. No ads, no tracking, no account. MELODAI PRO You can build a song for free. Pro unlocks the full instrument set, piano roll, Pro loops, Jam, Prompt Mixer, stem split, EQ, noise reduction, and lossless export. If a session uses those tools, Pro is required to export.
