SunnySky is the honest weather instrument: up to six independent forecast sources side by side — disagreement included — plus live reports from people actually standing under that sky. WEATHER THAT ANSWERS "Can I run before the rain?" SunnySky computes the answer and shows its work: a dry-window finder, activity windows for the things you actually do outside (run, ride, golf, stargaze — fifteen and counting), and a morning briefing push with your day in one line. MULTIPLE FORECASTS, ONE HONEST VERDICT Open-Meteo, MET Norway, the National Weather Service, Apple Weather, Pirate Weather, and OpenWeather are fetched independently; regional availability varies. When they disagree, you see it — never an averaged-away guess. A multi-model rain vote adds another view, and models without local data are excluded rather than counted as dry. SEE THE STORM COMING Animated radar with a short-term forecast loop, GOES satellite imagery, NWS warning polygons, SPC severe-weather outlooks, and tropical systems — on a fast, dark map built for reading the sky, not admiring the cartography. GROUND TRUTH FROM REAL SKIES Official NWS spotter reports (hail sizes, wind damage, flooding) seed a live feed alongside reports from the SunnySky community. Ask a place a question — "still open and usable?" — and get answers from people who are there. Confirmations keep reports honest: still true, or not anymore. YOUR PEOPLE, YOUR PLACES Follow the folks and spots you care about — is it raining at Mom's house? — and see them on the map. Following a person requires their approval, and followers-only reports stay private until they say yes. You choose what each friend sees: your live town, a town you pick, or only your reports. Always a town name, never a pin on your house. THE INSTRUMENT STANDARD Station observations next to model output. Units on every number. Timestamps on every reading. Severe weather alerts are included for every account. SkyForge makes the weather radar the whole app — a full-screen, buttery-smooth animated map is your home screen, and everything else floats cleanly on top. RADAR THAT MOVES • Smooth, motion-interpolated radar: the past two hours, then up to an hour of forecast radar where it's available • 3D storms — heavy rain rises off the map as shaded clouds that cast shadows • Live wind streams — thousands of moving particles showing direction and speed • Temperature overlay with a color-graded legend • Show precipitation, temperature and wind together • Fronts & pressure from NOAA's surface analysis • Zoom out far enough and the map becomes a spinning 3D globe, colored with NASA satellite land cover A FORECAST WITH DEPTH • 10-day forecast — tap any day to expand a plain-English brief • Interactive charts for every day: temperature, precipitation, UV, wind, humidity, visibility, and pressure — drag to pinpoint any minute • Hourly forecast, current conditions, "feels like", and high/low • Air quality (US AQI), UV index, sunrise & sunset, dew point, and more BUILT FOR WHERE YOU ARE • Automatic radar and forecast for your current location • Save cities and reorder your list with a long-press • Dark and light map themes that remember your choice SEVERE WEATHER • Live watches, warnings, and advisories from the US National Weather Service, right at the top of your screen when they matter HONEST BY DESIGN • 100% free and ad-free • No account, no sign-up, no tracking • Your location is used only to fetch weather — never stored or sold Weather data from Open-Meteo, LibreWXR, RainViewer, NOAA / National Weather Service, NASA GIBS, Iowa State Mesonet, and OpenWeatherMap.
