Omphalis

Omphalis is a calm home for the things you want to understand, not just get through. Save an article, a podcast, a YouTube talk, a PDF, or a voice note. Every one of them becomes the same clean, readable page, with structure you can actually use. What you get on the very first item Clean reading. Articles arrive without banners, popups, or clutter. PDF layouts are untangled. Podcasts and videos are transcribed. One calm page, whatever the source. Strata. Each piece is broken into 8 to 12 typed moments, so you can see the shape of something before you read it and go straight to the part you came for. Marks. Omphalis quietly underlines the few things worth a second look: a source worth checking, a term worth defining, a claim worth following up. Keep the ones that earn it, dismiss the rest. Listen. Any saved item can be read aloud in a voice you pick, with lock screen controls. What you get as your library grows Connections. Omphalis surfaces what your own library already knew: a piece that echoes something you saved months ago, a claim that sits against another, a bridge between two topics you never filed together. It is descriptive, not predictive. It shows you your library, not a feed. Today. A short daily loop with a clear place to start and a clear place to stop. How is it built Your own thinking and other people's work go through the same pipeline and connect to each other equally. There is no separate bucket for your notes. Omphalis is custodial software. There is no trending tab, no infinite scroll, and no streak to keep alive. Today finishes. Suggestions, not verdicts. The system that picks moments and marks is fallible, and the app is built to show you that rather than hide it. Every suggestion has a keep or a dismiss beside it, and Settings names the substrate plainly. Your library, your data
Earned Time

Earned Time flips the deal on screen time. Instead of guilt-tripping you with a weekly usage report, it pauses your distracting apps until you've done something that actually matters to you. HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose the apps you want paused โ social, games, whatever pulls you in. 2. Set up goals from the activities you want to do more of: reading, studying, language practice, anything. 3. Pick which apps count as productive for each activity. 4. Time you spend in those apps is tracked automatically and converts into unlock minutes. 5. Spend your earned minutes whenever you want. Your paused apps come back for exactly that long, then lock again on their own. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT No shaming. No arbitrary limits you'll disable in a weak moment. You set the exchange rate between effort and freedom, and the app just holds you to it. FEATURES โข Automatic tracking โ productive app time becomes unlock minutes with no timers to start and no sessions to remember โข Focus sessions for offline work that no app can measure โข Roll over unused minutes so a strong day can fund a slow one โข See exactly how you earned: which activity, which apps, how many minutes โข Anti-bypass controls โ confirmation delays, a daily cap on manual unlocks, or hide the escape hatch entirely โข Streaks and achievements โข Daily or weekly goals PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no account, no sign-up, and no server. Earned Time makes no network connections at all. Your Screen Time data and your goals never leave your iPhone.

The clearest difference is update cadence: Earned Time at fortnightly against Omphalis's monthly. Omphalis's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
