Most language apps give you more to learn. Fluency Moments helps you use what you are learning elsewhere. Three moments are free each day. Two minutes in the morning, two in the evening, and one moment during the day that surprises you while you are cooking, on the tram, or between meetings. You answer a short question in your new language, and the app follows up once. That's over a thousand moments a year where you put a sentence together yourself. You don't have to move abroad to get that practice. You get it at home, a few minutes at a time. The surprise is the point. Real conversations do not wait until you feel ready. Fluency Moments gives you a low-pressure way to practice making the language come out. Daily little moments turn what you studied into something usable later. No grades and no correction. Mistakes are allowed to stay. Just express one real thought. Choose your language and level, allow notifications, and start. No account, password, or email required. Fluency Moments Plus is optional. It adds more moments, longer exchanges, and your full private Moment History on your phone. Nihongo Sensei
Read full descriptionHide full description
Nihongo Sensei is a Japanese study app that follows the order of Minna no Nihongo, lesson by lesson. Made by a learner for other beginners, in English and Spanish. CLASSES WITH A STORY 38 guided classes, from lesson 0 to 37 of Minna no Nihongo, with a story running through them: Nico and Noa, a brother and sister from Barcelona, live in Japan with their dogs Hachi and Goma, and every grammar point happens inside the story. Classes come alive: scenes, characters and animations, short clear explanations with tables, Japanese audio on every sentence, the pitch line above every word, and exercises that check what you type, in kana or romaji. After each class, a practice on just that lesson; what you miss comes back in your review. MEMORIZE, WITH MNEMONICS Each lesson's words in small groups: you recognize them, recall them and check them in a sentence. Every word comes with a mnemonic, a funny sentence that sounds like the Japanese and leads you to the meaning. PARTICLES, WITH THE WHY A room for the hardest part: は, が, を, に, で, へ, と, から, まで, なら… 24 mini-classes with Nico, Noa and friends, one for every lesson from 1 to 35 that teaches particles, and over 250 fill-the-gap sentences. Each gap tells you why that particle goes there and not another. OPEN TO EVERYONE, NO PAYMENT • 1,524 words from lessons 1 to 37, each with audio and an example sentence • The grammar of every lesson, with examples you can hear • Flashcards, quizzes and a review that brings back exactly what you struggle with • Memorize and the mnemonics for lessons 1 to 5 • Full hiragana and katakana • The first classes and 38 basic kanji THE DOJO A real dojo, with a belt for each room, from white to black. Ten rooms to train what you've learned: particles, sentences, verbs and their forms, adjectives, numbers, listening, and 290 kanji to read and write, with spaced repetition. If you get it wrong, the sensei's note tells you why. With the dojo: all 38 classes, Memorize and the mnemonics for every lesson, your own lists and your own mnemonics. Try it free for 5 days, no card. Then €19.99 a year, or €49.99 once with Lifetime Dojo. No surprises: the price is right here.
