PastePoint
Read full descriptionHide full description
PastePoint is the fastest way to move text and files between your devices โ and the people next to you โ without the cloud, accounts, or waiting on an upload. Everything travels directly device-to-device over your local network using a peer-to-peer connection, so transfers move at local-network speed and never touch a server. When you close the app, nothing is left behind. WHY PASTEPOINT โข Peer-to-peer โ files and messages go straight between devices, not through the cloud โข Encrypted in transit โ connections are secured end-to-end โข No accounts, no sign-up โ just open the app and share โข Nothing stored โ identities are ephemeral and sessions disappear when you leave โข Any file type & size โ photos, documents, archives, anything โข Works with the web app โ share between iPhone, iPad, and any browser in the same room โข Free and open source HOW IT WORKS โข Public rooms: open the app on two devices on the same network and they connect automatically โข Private rooms: start a private session and share the code or QR to invite exactly who you want โข Send a message or drop in a file โ the other side accepts and it transfers directly Great for sending photos across the table, moving a document to your laptop, sharing between iPhone and iPad, or handing a file to a colleague on the same Wi-Fi โ all without email, cloud drives, or cables. PastePoint keeps sharing simple, fast, and private by design.
Sill Notes
Read full descriptionHide full description
Sill is a small notepad for things you want to put down quickly and find again later. Notes are plain Markdown and stay plain. No smart quotes, no auto-capitalization, no hidden formatting: what you type is what is stored, and you can copy any note out as text at any time. Everything lives on your iPhone in a single local database. There is no account to create and no server in between, so Sill opens instantly and works the same with or without a network. If you also use the free Sill app for Mac, pair the two once by scanning a QR code. From then on they sync directly whenever they are near each other, over your local network or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, with mutual TLS between the two devices. Nothing passes through the internet. The Mac app is optional: Sill on iPhone is a complete notepad on its own. A formatting bar above the keyboard adds headings, bold, italic, code, lists and checklists, all as plain Markdown. Return continues bullets, numbers and checkboxes. Copy as Markdown pastes as real lists and emphasis into Slack, Mail, Notes and Docs, and as the exact text everywhere else. Quiet: no analytics, no ads, no notifications, no third-party SDKs. Sill collects no data at all. Sill is free and open source under the MIT license.
