About

FoldLight

FoldLight is a widget-first controller for the lights on your own Home Assistant server. Put your lights on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and in Control Center โ€” then toggle, dim, warm, or recolor them without ever opening an app. There's no FoldLight account, no cloud, and nothing to sign up for. Paste your Home Assistant address and access token once and you're set. FoldLight talks only to the server you already run. WIDGET-FIRST CONTROL Small and medium Home Screen widgets with a power toggle, brightness steps, and preset swatches โ€” each one acts directly on your lights, no app launch required. KNOWS EACH LIGHT Every light shows exactly the controls it supports โ€” on/off, dimming, color temperature, or full color โ€” detected automatically from Home Assistant. PRESETS Save Warm, Focus, Movie, or your own scenes and apply them from a widget or from Control Center. CONTROL CENTER & LOCK SCREEN Toggle your main light or apply a preset straight from the iOS system controls. LAUNCHER TILES, SIRI & SHORTCUTS One-tap tiles to Home Assistant or any page you use, plus App Intents for every action so you can automate them or ask Siri. TRY IT WITHOUT A SERVER Demo mode is on by default and works with sample lights, so you can explore everything before connecting. PRIVATE BY DESIGN FoldLight collects nothing. Your server address and token stay in your device's Keychain and traffic goes straight to your machine โ€” over your LAN or securely over Tailscale. Home Assistant is a trademark of the Open Home Foundation. FoldLight is an independent client and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Home Assistant project.

About

My Network Scanner (MyNeS)

Features

MyNeS (My Network Scanner) turns your phone into a full home-network scanner. No server, no Docker, no pairing, no account โ€” the scanning engine runs entirely on your device. Open the app on your Wi-Fi and MyNeS finds the devices around you and tells you what they are: manufacturer, model, type and operating system, pieced together from IP, MAC address, vendor (OUI), hostnames and the services each device advertises. WHAT YOU GET โ€ข Fast discovery โ€” a ping/TCP sweep plus mDNS/Bonjour, SSDP/UPnP and optional Bluetooth LE finds Wi-Fi and nearby Bluetooth devices. โ€ข Real identification โ€” vendor from the MAC address, device type and OS from the services a device exposes. Rename devices and add your own notes. โ€ข Identify with AI (optional) โ€” tap to send a device's technical facts to our hosted service for a manufacturer/model/type guess when the offline heuristics aren't sure. โ€ข Security view โ€” flags open ports, default-credential risks and known-CVE fingerprints on the gear you own, with links to the advisories. โ€ข Alerts & history โ€” see what joined or left your network over time, and get a notification when something new appears (optional background scanning). โ€ข Home Assistant (optional) โ€” connect your own instance to cross-check its device list against a live scan. โ€ข Private by design โ€” no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no trackers. Your scan results and settings stay on your device. PERMISSIONS โ€ข Local Network โ€” to discover devices on your Wi-Fi (this is the scan). โ€ข Bluetooth โ€” only if you turn on Bluetooth LE discovery. โ€ข Notifications โ€” only if you enable background scan alerts. MyNeS does not use your location. It is the mobile edition of the open-source My Network Scanner (MyNeS) project.
