Know what is left today. Fritter is calorie tracking pared all the way back. Log what you ate, see where you stand against your daily calorie and weight-loss goals, and get on with your day. LOG WITHOUT THE CEREMONY • Take a meal photo for a fast nutrition estimate • Describe food by typing or speaking • Transcribe voice descriptions directly on your iPhone • Scan a packaged-food barcode • Search common foods • Save favorites for quick repeat entries • Review and adjust portions before anything enters your day • Correct an inaccurate photo result without retaking the picture SEE WHAT IS LEFT A simple daily budget shows how many calories remain to reach your goal. Review calories, protein, carbs, fat, sugar, fiber, food entries, exercise bonuses, and weight progress without turning your day into a dashboard. TRACK THE GOAL, NOT YOUR WHOLE BODY Use guided setup to choose a monthly weight-loss pace, establish your calorie target, and follow your weight trend. No body scores, complicated measurements, or generic coaching. OPTIONALLY COUNT YOUR WORKOUTS Fritter Pro can read workout energy from Apple Health and apply a percentage you choose as an exercise bonus. Workout information is processed on your device and is not sent to Fritter. NOTHING EXTRA ASKING FOR ATTENTION • No ads • No push notifications • No app badges • No recipes • No streak pressure • No gimmicky diet plans • No tempting meal feed PRIVATE BY DESIGN No Fritter account is required. Your food log, goals, and weight records stay on your device and can sync through your private iCloud database when available. Voice audio is transcribed on your iPhone and is never uploaded by Fritter. Only the resulting text is submitted when you request a nutrition estimate. Meal photos are resized and stripped of embedded camera and location metadata before being sent for analysis. Fritter includes 30 complimentary AI nutrition estimates across photo, typed-description, and voice logging. Fritter Pro includes up to 300 AI estimates per month with an auto-renewing annual subscription. Other core tracking features remain available without Pro. Nutrition values, calorie targets, exercise adjustments, and AI-generated results are informational estimates—not medical advice. Review results before saving and consult a qualified professional when accuracy matters. Calories, minus everything else. Take a photo. That's the whole app. No account. No onboarding. No setup screen asking your goals before it'll do anything. You open ZiB, you photograph your food, and it's logged. FREE. NOT "FREE." No paywall. No subscription. No locked features, no trial that expires, no upsell after your third meal. If you want to help with the running costs there's a tip jar in settings, and it unlocks absolutely nothing. SIMPLE ON PURPOSE One screen. Your meals, and a camera button. That's it. - No streaks - No badges - No notifications telling you that you've broken anything - A day you didn't log is just a day you didn't log HOW IT WORKS Photograph your meal. ZiB works out what it is and how much of it, then pulls the calories and macros from the USDA nutrition database — real published numbers, not invented ones. If it's wrong, tap it and fix it. It remembers, and gets better at the food you actually eat. PACKAGED FOOD Scan the barcode for that product's exact label. If the nutrition panel is visible in your photo, ZiB just reads it. APPLE HEALTH Optional and off by default. One-way: ZiB writes your meals to Health and reads nothing back. PRIVATE No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads, nothing sold. Your meals stay on your phone. THIS IS HALF THE PRODUCT The other half is a screenless wristband. It notices you've started eating, buzzes once, and logs the meal when you hover your wrist over your plate and snap your fingers. Nothing to open. Nothing to remember. One purchase. No subscription, ever. zib.band

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Fritter at 18.0 against ZiB's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fritter sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and ZiB sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
