A professional kitchen should not depend on memory, scattered spreadsheets, or information known by only one person. Chef helps you standardize recipes, track costs, organize inventory, and turn daily operations into clearer processes for the entire kitchen brigade. Everything stays in one place, from recipe costing sheets to storage area controls. RECIPE COSTING SHEETS AND RECIPES Create complete recipe costing sheets with ingredients, quantities, yields, portions, units of measurement, preparation times, instructions, notes, and photos. Use products purchased from suppliers as well as preparations made in-house. Organize prep items and sub-recipes so that cost changes are reflected in every related recipe. COSTS AND MENUS Track the cost of ingredients and preparations, calculate recipe costs, and review food cost percentage, selling price, gross profit, margin, and markup. Build menus with your operation’s recipes and evaluate the numbers before putting a dish into service. PRODUCTS, INVENTORY, AND STORAGE Register ingredients, supplier products, and items produced in-house. Organize units of measurement, barcodes, prices, storage locations, and relationships with recipes. Review current inventory and use CSV spreadsheets to update quantities and prices. Stock counts can be delegated to the team and then imported back into the app. TEMPERATURE MONITORING Connect your eWeLink account and link compatible devices, such as SONOFF Zigbee thermometers, to inventory storage locations. Monitor the temperature of cold rooms, refrigerators, freezers, and other registered areas. Review measurement history and generate summary or detailed reports to support the kitchen’s temperature control procedures. EXPIRATION DATES, LABELS, AND WASTE Identify products and preparations with labels, track expiration dates, and keep essential storage information organized. Record waste and discarded items to understand where ingredients are being lost. When applicable, a label can also be used to create a waste record, reducing duplicate work for the team. SUPPLIERS AND ORDERS Keep suppliers, contact details, linked products, and prices organized. Prepare orders and generate checking documents that support receiving and communication with the team. ORGANIZATIONS FOR EVERY OPERATION Keep restaurants, clients, or projects in separate organizations. This makes it easier to manage recipes, products, and information when overseeing multiple operations or providing foodservice consulting. REPORTS AND DATA Generate PDF sheets and reports to support production, order checking, temperature monitoring, and other operational processes. Export information to spreadsheets, let the team make the necessary updates, and import the revised data back into the app. Chef was created to reduce guesswork, improve standardization, and give culinary professionals a clearer view of costs and daily operations. Some features are available only with Chef+. Temperature monitoring requires an eWeLink account and compatible devices, sold separately.
