CBZ Manga Reader vs Whiskers Comic Reader

CBZ Manga Reader is a free-to-download, local-first manga and comic reader for iPhone and iPad. Open your files and start reading — no account required, no ads. READ FOR FREE • Open CBZ, ZIP, EPUB (no DRM), CBR, RAR, CB7, 7z, and PDF • Right-to-left manga mode, dual-page (great on iPad), Auto dual, and continuous vertical / webtoon scroll • Paper page turns you can peel with your finger (or turn off for instant jumps) • Zoom, pinch, thumbnails, Smart Fit, and resume where you left off • Multi-folder library with covers, smart series sort, and continue reading • After a volume: next file on this device, plus a few AniList Sequel and Similar titles if you enable Discover • Knowledge Base in Settings explains this device — iPhone and iPad, not Mac keys • Files stay on your device BUILT FOR MANGA & COMICS Bring your own library from the Files app, iCloud Drive, or folders you choose. Progress and recents stay on device so you can binge offline. A damaged page in an archive skips that image and keeps the rest of the book readable. DISCOVER (OPTIONAL) Enable Discover to browse a Featured sample of trending and popular manga from AniList — titles, covers, and synopses only. It never downloads chapters. Adult titles stay hidden unless you turn them on. Catalog from AniList; this app is not AniList. OPTIONAL PREMIUM Upgrade with Lifetime or Monthly Premium (same Apple ID unlocks Mac, iPhone, and iPad) when you want power tools: • Discover depth: sort, catalog search, Because you finished, hide titles you own, and more pages • On-device AI colorize (short free trial, then unlimited with Premium) • Library search, unread / reading / finished filters • Favorites and collections • Live library folder updates and deep rescan • Magnifier loupe, image adjustments, and margin trim • In-book bookmarks and table of contents • Opt-in iCloud reading progress (page index only) • Accent colors beyond Coral Reading stays free. Restore Purchases anytime in Settings. Privacy: comic files remain on your device. Crash reports and anonymous usage analytics may be sent via Firebase (Google). If Discover is on, title searches and covers go to AniList. See the Privacy Policy in the app and on our website. No ads. No IDFA-based tracking.
