Notte makes the web easier to see. It is a free, user-side accessibility tool for people with low vision, built by someone living with a degenerative eye condition. It works on every website you visit, in Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Dark mode is where Notte starts. It is not where it stops. HIGH-CONTRAST DARK MODE Notte does not invert colours. It reads each page's own stylesheets and remaps every colour in HSL, so backgrounds go deep and text goes bright while buttons, links and highlights stay distinct and recognisable. Contrast stays high โ€” around 11:1 in testing, well past the WCAG AA threshold. Sites that already ship a good dark theme are detected and left alone. Photographs, video and illustrations keep their natural colours. THE ACCESSIBILITY TOOLKIT Every control is per-site and remembered, so a page you struggle with stays adjusted the way you need it, every time you come back: โ€ข Contrast โ€” hold text to a guaranteed WCAG AAA contrast target โ€ข Brightness โ€” dim pages that are painful to look at โ€ข Saturation โ€” mute strong colour, or go fully greyscale โ€ข Warm tint โ€” cut blue light for long or late reading โ€ข Dim images โ€” soften bright or busy pictures โ€ข Text size โ€” enlarge text on any site โ€ข Letter and word spacing โ€” open up crowded type โ€ข Line spacing โ€” give paragraphs room to breathe โ€ข Emphasise links โ€” underline every link so it is unmistakable โ€ข Strong focus โ€” a thick, high-visibility outline for keyboard navigation โ€ข Reduce motion โ€” stop animation and parallax The tools work whether dark mode is on or off. You can keep a page's own light design and still raise its contrast, enlarge its text, or calm its colour. FREE, AND STAYING THAT WAY No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No donations. Notte collects no data of any kind โ€” no analytics, no tracking, no accounts. Nothing leaves your device; your settings stay on it. Notte asks only for the access it needs to restyle the pages you open, and the source code is public so anyone can check that for themselves. A USER-SIDE TOOL Notte adapts pages for you, in your own browser. It is the opposite of a website "accessibility overlay": it never changes a site for anyone else, and it makes no claim about any site's compliance. Notte is open source. Questions, ideas and contributions are welcome.

About

Sound Meter

Understand the sound around you with a sound level meter, spectrum analyzer and session recorder for iPhone. Point your iPhone at a sound and it tells you how loud it is, in decibels, using the weightings and time constants a real sound level meter uses. Record a session and you get the statistics that matter afterwards โ€” the energy average, the peak, the quietest moment โ€” plus a CSV or PDF you can send to someone. BUILT FOR IPHONE DUO Keep Meter and Spectrum together on the open display. Use the stacked laptop layout, or tap Switch side to exchange their positions. The closed display keeps the panel assigned to its physical half. EVERY PRO METRIC IS FREE Not a trial, not a teaser. The full measurement feature set is in the free version, and paying only removes the advertising. โ€ข LAeq โ€” energy-average level โ€ข LCpeak โ€” instantaneous peak โ€ข LAFmax and LASmin โ€ข A, C and Z frequency weighting โ€ข Fast and Slow time weighting โ€ข FFT spectrum with dominant frequency โ€ข Octave and 1/3-octave band analysis โ€ข Session recording, history and notes โ€ข CSV and PDF export MEASURE THE WAY YOU NEED TO Keep measuring with the screen locked. Watch the live trend. See what the noise compares to in plain words. Set a warning level and feel it rather than watch for it. THE HONEST PART This is not a certified sound level meter and it does not pretend to be. Readings are labelled Approximate in the app and in every export, because the absolute level rests on a provisional constant rather than a calibration measured against a reference instrument. Use certified equipment wherever a regulation requires it. When there is no measurable signal the reading is "--", not "0" โ€” a covered microphone is not a quiet room. When measurement pauses, the number disappears rather than freezing at its last value. Connect a Bluetooth or USB-C microphone and the app says so, and refuses to apply a correction that was never measured for it. YOUR SOUND STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Audio and measurements are processed on your device without an account or upload to our servers. Microphone access is needed for measurement. The free version uses Google AdMob, which processes device and advertising information but does not receive your audio, measurements or recorded sessions. Advertising privacy choices and Apple tracking permission are handled separately. Requires iOS 17 or later. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
