EcoRoot vs QuestLearner AI

EcoRoot is your field guide to the native plants of the U.S. Gulf South — a single place to identify them, learn how to grow them, and discover their history, ecology, and traditional uses. Built for gardeners, plant lovers, and aspiring herbalists who want more than a name. IDENTIFY BY PHOTO OR BY TRAITS Point your camera at a plant and EcoRoot names it, with an honest confidence score and the close look-alikes worth ruling out. Your photo is read once for that identification — it is never stored on your device or our servers, and never used for anything else. Prefer to work it out yourself? The guided key asks a few simple questions about leaf, flower, form, and habitat and narrows to the best match the botanical way. Both routes open the same herbarium sheet. A BUNDLED FIELD ALMANAC Browse a hand-built library of Gulf South native plants. Each opens as a mounted herbarium sheet: growing conditions, ecological and pollinator value, native status, and evidence-tiered notes on historical, cultural, and traditional uses — clearly sourced. YOUR LIVING HERBARIUM Save the plants you find and grow, track your garden's biodiversity and pollinator value, and watch your identifying eye sharpen over time. LEARN & EARN Work through lessons on native plants and herbalism and complete stewardship quests — the Pollinator Quest, the Native Garden Quest, the Herbal Apprentice — to earn badges. FULL SAFETY, ALWAYS FREE Every plant's toxicity to people, dogs, and cats is always shown for free, with Poison Control and ASPCA numbers. CULTIVATOR (optional subscription) Go deeper with the complete cultural, historical, and traditional-use profiles, advanced multi-trait filters, every lesson and quest, a seasonal care planner, and full garden analytics. - Monthly ($4.99) or annual ($29.99), with a 7-day free trial - Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation; the subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. EcoRoot is an educational field guide. Its plant information — including historical, cultural, and traditional uses — is for learning only and is not medical, health, or foraging-safety advice. Always confirm identification with an expert before handling or consuming any wild plant. Type any subject. Play it. Find out when you'll forget it. QuestLearner AI turns whatever you want to learn — the French Revolution, coffee brewing, Spanish past tense, quantum physics — into an arcade run you actually play. Your champion advances down a neon lane, blocks of ignorance come at you, and every one is a real question. Answer it and a light bar shatters the block. THE FADE LINE This is the part no quiz app gives you. QuestLearner AI measures how fast YOU forget a subject from your own answer history, then draws the curve: where your recall sits today, the day it drops below your bar, and how much a replay right now is actually worth at the date you're aiming at. It goes down while you're away, because that is the honest thing for it to do. BUILT ON PUBLISHED RESEARCH, NOT VIBES The forgetting curve, the spacing schedule and the difficulty controller all come from published work on how memory actually behaves — and the app shows you its arithmetic instead of asking you to trust a black box. DIFFICULTY THAT HOLDS THE LINE Learning is fastest at about 85% correct — hard enough to be worth something, easy enough to keep going. The app watches your rolling accuracy and picks the next question to hold you in that band, and it tells you where you are in it. A WRONG ANSWER COSTS YOU NOTHING No lives. No timers. No waiting nine minutes to play again. No ads, in any tier. Missing a question is how learning works, so it costs you nothing at all. BOSS OF IGNORANCE Every quest ends in a boss made of exactly what you haven't mastered yet. It only falls to a chain of correct answers — so it tests real retrieval, not luck. EARN YOUR CHAMPION Skins, emblems and titles come from things you actually did: a boss cleared, a quest at 80%, a chain of eight, two weeks at your target. Nothing cosmetic is for sale, in any tier. NO DAILY STREAK TO BREAK Progress is measured in rolling weeks against a target you chose. A quiet day costs you nothing. FREE FOREVER Playing and replaying every quest you own, boss battles, the arcade run, the difficulty controller, mastery, the weekly rhythm, the whole Champion Forge, the Fade Line for your three most at-risk quests, and 3 new AI-written quests a day. MASTERY PASS (optional subscription) - Unlimited new quests a day - The Fade Line for every quest, not just three - The horizon planner — set the date you're aiming at and everything re-ranks - Your weak spots, ranked by how likely you are to miss them today - Your whole history and every trend, not just the last four weeks Mastery Pass is $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings. Questions are written by AI from the topic you type, so they can be wrong or out of date. One tap on Report retires any question immediately — and Report is free in every tier, always.
