FoodEntropy

FoodEntropy helps you track the expiry date of everything in your fridge and pantry, and reminds you the morning it's due — so food gets eaten at its best and nothing is forgotten. FEATURES • Home at a glance: a stack of cards — current status, waste stats, and three buckets for expired, due within three days, and still fresh — each with a count and the money on the line. Tap a bucket to open its list. • Quick entry: add a name, purchase and expiry date, with an optional photo from your camera or library. • See expiry at a glance: items are sorted by due date, color-coded red / amber / green for Expired / Within 3 days / Fresh, and show the price you recorded. • Home screen widget: see what's about to expire — and how much money is at stake — without opening the app. • iPhone Duo: unfold it and hold it sideways, and Settings sits next to your cards. On the outer screen it works like any iPhone. • Expiry reminders: a local notification the morning an item is due, so nothing slips by. • Shortcuts, Siri and Spotlight: add an item, mark it used or discarded, extend a date, or find food from Spotlight, all without opening the app. • Waste insights: see your current breakdown and a rolling 30-day waste rate in clear charts. • Track what you spend (optional): add a price and the home screen shows the value of food about to expire — what's at stake while there's still time to eat it. Waste stats include the value of discarded items too. • Flexible actions: extend an item's date, mark it used, discarded, or delete it. • iCloud sync (optional): off by default; turn it on to back up to your own private iCloud so your data survives a new phone. • Dark mode, English and Traditional Chinese. PRIVACY: No account, no server of ours. Your data and photos stay on your device; only if you enable iCloud sync are they backed up to your own private iCloud (which the developer can't access). Free to use, with a one-time purchase to remove ads. Waste less food — starting with remembering to eat it.
