About

ChartKey

Features

Metoprolol, not Metropolitan. ChartKey is a replacement keyboard for iPhone and iPad that knows the words a chart is made of, so the note you send is the note you meant. It is built for nurses, doctors, pharmacists, techs and students, and it works in every app you already chart in. Here is a shift on it. 07:00 HANDOFF Type .sbar and the whole SBAR report lays itself out, with fill-in fields you step through with Next. There are 46 built-in templates for handoff, triage, discharge, wound care and more, and your own snippets sit beside them in folders. 09:00 MED PASS Autocorrect that knows 703 drug names and leaves MRI, BUN, q4h and PERRLA alone. Tall Man lettering keeps look-alike names apart, and the drug list opens from the keyboard without leaving the note. 11:00 THE MATH (PRO) IV drip rate, dose by weight, corrected calcium and BMI, worked out inside the keyboard and inserted into the note. 14:00 DICTATION (PRO) Say the note and ChartKey writes it with clinical formatting: vitals, doses, units and HPI headers. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone. You read it, fix it, then decide where it goes. 19:00 NIGHT SHIFT Twelve keyboard themes, from navy scrubs and ceil blue to a red-shifted night mode for a dark ward. ALL SHIFT LONG • A safety guard underlines Joint Commission do-not-use abbreviations such as QD, U and IU as you type. It flags, it never blocks. • Twelve specialty packs add 2,800+ terms: nursing, emergency, ICU, cardiology, pediatrics, OB, psych, surgery, pharmacy, med-surg, oncology and ortho. • The Time Saved card counts the keystrokes your shortcuts typed for you. • Share a phrase set with your unit as a single .chartkey file. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE The keyboard extension contains no network code at all. What you type is never sent, logged or collected. There is no account to create, and no ads or analytics in the keyboard. WITH AND WITHOUT PRO Without a subscription you keep typing, the full medical autocorrect, predictions, built-in dot phrases, five custom snippets, one specialty pack and twenty abbreviation expansions a day, with no time limit. ChartKey Pro adds unlimited snippets, all twelve packs, an unmetered expander, dictation, the calculators, one-handed mode, keyboard height and the color themes. Pro is weekly, monthly or yearly, or a one time purchase. Prices are shown in your own currency before you buy, and any free trial is stated on the purchase screen. ChartKey is a typing tool, not a clinical reference or decision-support system. Confirm clinical content against your institution's approved sources.
