About

Breadbin

Breadbin is a Commodore 64 emulator for iPhone, iPad and Mac โ€” written from scratch in Swift, every chip built from the original hardware documentation. Not a port, and not a wrapper around somebody else's emulator, original code from the first cycle to the last. YOU BRING THE ROMS Breadbin ships clean โ€” no ROM images and no games, because they are not ours to give away. On first launch the app lists the three system files the machine needs (KERNAL, BASIC, character generator), shows which ones it has found, and imports them with a tap from the Files app. Dump them from hardware you own, or use freely licensed replacement ROMs โ€” either way you are a minute from a READY prompt. Your files stay on your device. ACCURACY YOU CAN CHECK โ€ข Cycle-accurate 6510 processor โ€” undocumented opcodes, NMOS decimal mode, per-cycle bus behaviour. Passes Klaus Dormann's 6502 functional test suite, the standard the emulator community measures against. โ€ข Cycle-based VIC-II video โ€” bad lines, sprite DMA, the border unit, all eight graphics modes, raster interrupts. Raster-timing demos behave the way they should. โ€ข A real 1541 drive โ€” its own processor, its own VIA chips, a rotating GCR bitstream with byte-ready wired exactly as the hardware does it. Fastloaders and copy-protected disks work here instead of hanging. โ€ข Both SID sound revisions, 6581 and 8580, built from the datasheet โ€” including the mixer quirk that makes 4-bit sample playback audible on the 6581. DIAL A BULLETIN BOARD Breadbin carries an emulated SwiftLink modem bridged to the internet. Run a terminal program, pick a board from your phone book, and you are logged into a live BBS over TCP โ€” telnet negotiation handled for you, PETSCII intact. The boards are still out there, and still busy. Your phone book is a plain text file you edit yourself. BUILT FOR THE DEVICE IN YOUR HAND โ€ข A touch keyboard laid out like the real machine, with national keycaps for Sweden/Finland, Denmark/Norway and Germany โ€ข On-screen joystick โ€” analog stick or D-pad, placed where your thumb actually is, with autofire โ€ข 1351 proportional mouse โ€” a trackpad on touch screens, a captured pointer on the Mac โ€ข Save states with thumbnails, so you can put the machine down mid-level โ€ข Display filters from razor-sharp pixels to a softened CRT look, with an adjustable border โ€ข Instant loading when you want it, true drive speed when the software demands it โ€ข Loads .prg, .d64, .g64, .t64, .p00 and .crt cartridge files โ€ข One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac PAY ONCE, PLAY FOREVER No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No account. And no data collection: no analytics, no tracking โ€” nothing is collected, so there is nothing to sell, share or leak. The only network traffic Breadbin ever makes is the bulletin board you tell it to dial. Breadbin is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the owners of the Commodore or Commodore 64 trademarks. It ships no Commodore software.

About

FieldKit Pro

Features

FieldKit is a focused, no-nonsense field recorder built for sound designers, foley artists, ambient musicians, and anyone who needs to capture the world in high fidelity. RECORD IN STUDIO QUALITY Capture 24-bit, 48kHz WAV audio with real-time waveform monitoring. Adjust input gain, apply a low-cut filter to tame wind and handling noise, and monitor your input live โ€” all before you hit record. SEE THE SOUND Watch a real-time spectrogram as you record, so you can spot frequency content the waveform alone won't show you. Perfect for catching hums, resonances, and details you'd otherwise only notice on playback. STAY ORGANIZED Every recording can be automatically geotagged, so you always know where a sound was captured. Tag recordings by type, add timestamped markers while recording or editing, and search your entire library instantly. EDIT WITHOUT LEAVING THE APP Trim recordings non-destructively, drop markers to bookmark key moments, normalize levels, adjust gain with one-tap undo, and automatically detect and strip silence โ€” all without needing a separate editor. EXPORT YOUR WAY Export to WAV, AIFF, M4A, or FLAC with embedded metadata (title, location, tags, markers). Split a recording into separate files at your markers, or batch export your whole library at once. BUILT FOR EXTERNAL MICS FieldKit supports external microphones and includes a screen-flip mode for rigs where your phone ends up mounted upside-down. PRIVACY FIRST All processing happens on your device. FieldKit doesn't collect any data, doesn't use analytics or tracking, and doesn't require an account. Your recordings never leave your phone unless you export them yourself. FieldKit Pro is a one-time purchase โ€” not a subscription โ€” and unlocks: โ€ข Unlimited recordings โ€ข Real-time spectrogram view โ€ข Unlimited tags โ€ข Batch export โ€ข Export as slices โ€ข Normalize & gain tools โ€ข Silence detection & auto-crop Everything else is free, forever.
