You don't want to learn a language. You want to speak it. Maybe you are starting from zero. Maybe you studied for years and still freeze when it is your turn. Maybe you tried the apps and never got near a conversation. Different starting points, the same two things in the way: the nerves when it is your turn to talk, and a life with no room for a class. What you want is the same either way. The dinner where everyone switches to Spanish and you are in the conversation instead of next to it. The trip where you order and get invited. If you grew up hearing Spanish but not speaking it, the you that finally answers back. THE WOLFF METHOD Most language apps are built around one idea and sell it as the whole answer. Flashcards. Immersion only. Talk to a bot and you are done. None is the whole answer. The Wolff Method takes the best of what is known about how a language sticks, puts it in the order memory actually works, and runs it with a personal trainer who knows you. Three stations, at your own pace: Expose, Explain, Experience. EXPOSE. You open the app and watch. Short videos and stories in real Spanish, some of them above your level on purpose, because that is how real life talks to you. Nothing is hidden by level. Every post was made from a lesson, so tap it and the lesson that explains it is right there. EXPLAIN. A session with your trainer, in your language, that builds out from what you already know, one piece at a time. A couple of minutes on why it is "lo veo" and not "veo lo", then back to the real thing. When you get something wrong the sentence is taken apart and rebuilt with you, not marked wrong. Any phrase you run into anywhere, send it to your trainer and get it explained, not just translated. EXPERIENCE. Practice is suggested, never forced. When you are ready you speak, on a ladder that takes the edge off one rung at a time. First a role play: a scene partner who only speaks Spanish, your trainer beside the scene, nobody else listening. Then a real person in the app who speaks Spanish and is learning English, in a two-person room with your trainer present, so you help each other. Profiles, photos and voice intros are seen only by members inside the app. Then real life, and the word you needed out there becomes your next lesson. YOUR TRAINER A good method means nothing if it does not fit your life. That is what the trainer is for, like a trainer at the gym: someone who knows you, builds the plan, watches how it goes and adjusts. Pick Ares or Iris and talk to them out loud or by text, in your language. They ask why you are learning and who you want to talk to, remember what you own and where you get stuck, and build every session around your life. They encourage first, go at your pace, and let you leave when you need to. Between sessions they prepare what comes next, so you come back to a plan. The goal is being understood, not sounding like a native. Your accent is not a defect. NO TEST. NO LEVEL LOST. No exam to pass, no level to earn back. Your level is a circle that grows with the time you put in, drawn across the three stations so you can see where your time went. A short side is an invitation, never a grade. After every lesson the app asks one question, how did it fit, and that decides what comes next. It never moves you backwards. It tells you what you did, never what you know. FITS THE DAY YOU HAVE Sessions take minutes and pick up where you left off. Hands-free audio lessons work on the walk or the bus. No streaks, no guilt notifications, no fake urgency, no hidden charges. Envoz teaches Spanish to English speakers and English to Spanish speakers; you choose which when you sign up. Lessons, videos and stories, audio lessons and conversations with people are free, no card needed. Numbers appear on screen one at a time, each for just a moment. Add them all up in your head and enter the total. This is flash mental math, the way it's practiced with the soroban (Japanese abacus). There are 30 levels, and you practice at the one you choose. - See why you missed After each answer, review every number that flashed along with the running total at that point. Numbers where a carry happened are highlighted, so you can spot exactly where you slipped. Replay the same problem, or replay it slowly. - From 0.2 to 5.0 seconds Set the speed yourself anywhere from 0.2 to 5.0 seconds per number. - 30 levels From 1 digit, 3 numbers, 1 second each, each level changes one thing at a time: more numbers, then faster, then more digits (up to 3 digits, 15 numbers, 0.5 seconds). Change your level anytime from the home screen. Already experienced? Pick a higher starting point on the first launch. - A daily habit Your home screen shows your streak: how many days in a row you've practiced. Miss just one day in a Monday-to-Sunday week and your streak stays alive. One set is five problems and takes just a few minutes. Set a daily reminder at a time you choose (it stays quiet on days you've already practiced). - Five themes ⢠Minimal: thin numbers on white ⢠Washi: Mincho numerals and a red seal ⢠Neon: glowing numbers ⢠Chalkboard: chalk numbers on green ⢠Sakura: rounded numbers on pale pink Your records carry over when you change themes. - For the whole family Each profile keeps its own level, practice days, and records. - Ranked play and leaderboards One digit, ten numbers, a little faster each stage. Your fastest cleared display time goes to Game Center leaderboards (today, this week, all time; global and friends). - Add, subtract, multiply, divide Pick one from the tabs on the home screen. Addition and subtraction (mixed plus and minus) flash numbers one at a time; multiplication and division flash a single expression like "23 à 7". Each has its own 30 levels to choose from. - Read aloud Have numbers read aloud as they flash. - Also ⢠An optional tick sound with each number (plays even in Silent mode; you can turn it off in Settings) ⢠Numbers simply appear and disappear, with no animation getting in the way ⢠Records are stored only on your device (if you're signed in to Game Center, only your best ranked-play time is sent to Apple for the leaderboard) ⢠No sign-in - Premium (auto-renewable subscription) ⢠No ads Monthly subscription. The price is shown in the app and may vary by region. It renews automatically every month and is charged to your Apple ID unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings ⺠Apple ID ⺠Subscriptions. Premium only removes ads. Every other feature is free. - About ads Ads appear at the bottom of the home screen and between sets. No ads while numbers are flashing, while you're entering your answer, or while you're reviewing. Premium has no ads.
