One Video Player
Read full descriptionHide full description
One Video Player turns your device into a video player that understands what it's playing. Even for videos that have no subtitles at all — or when you just can't find the right subtitle file — it generates subtitles live from the audio, right on your device, as it plays, in dozens of languages. Those subtitles are then translated into your own language, also entirely on your device. No upload. No account. No subscription. The player is free, and your first 5 videos include live subtitles and translation at no charge. After that, a single one-time unlock keeps them forever. Full real-time subtitle generation and translation require iOS 26 or later. On older devices, this live on-device processing may cause noticeable battery drain, heat, or slowdowns.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Time Warp Scan at none against One Video Player's 1. Time Warp Scan also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
