Solfe brings the study and the practice of music together: theory, plus the solfΓ¨ge side β ear training, sight-singing and rhythm β all in one place, at your own pace. - Music theory: 14,000+ questions across 8 categories (intervals, key signatures, scales, rhythm, terms, chords, transposition, score analysis), every one with a careful explanation. Notation questions are rendered on a real staff, with a keyboard diagram in the explanation. - SolfΓ¨ge: ear training, sight-singing, and rhythm. Exercises are generated on the fly, so the training never runs out. Sight-singing grades your pitch and timing on the device β your voice never leaves your phone. - Ask about a question: when an explanation doesn't land, ask about that question directly. Answers are grounded in the question, its answer, and the notation. - Today: the home screen picks what to do next - review that is due, or the level you are working through - plus one solfΓ¨ge exercise for when you can use your voice. - Review: spaced repetition (SRS) remembers what you solved and brings it back right before you forget. - Practice exam: 20 questions in 20 minutes, modelled on the structure of Japanese music high school and conservatory entrance exams. Free plan: every question is open - all categories and all levels, up to conservatory entrance level - with 5 sessions a day (a session is 10 questions in theory or ear training; one exercise in sight-singing). Every explanation, score, and keyboard stays visible, and spaced repetition works with a 30-question queue. Solfe Pro (subscription, 7-day free trial): no daily limit, unlimited review, a mastery map broken down by category and by material, the practice exam, and weak-spot drills. Your account is shared with the music learning service Creatone. Active Creatone subscribers get Solfe Pro at no extra cost. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Ear Training for Auditions
Read full descriptionHide full description
Ear training for students preparing for a music high-school or conservatory audition. The five item types of the first stage β single note, interval, chord, melodic memory, rhythmic memory β split into 70 topics along the standard categories of music theory. Pick the topics you want; after every question see exactly where you were off, in cents and milliseconds. TARGET AND YOU Your pitch trace lies over the target band: did you scoop into the note, how wide is your vibrato, where did you drift? For rhythm, which beat went which way, beat by beat. LEVEL PATH If you don't know where to start, the app tells you. Three levels, fifteen units: from telling two notes apart to a full exam paper. Every step is measured, and the next one opens once you master the last. Topic practice is still there, untouched. PRACTICE MODES β’ Level path β the app answers "what should I practise today?" β’ Topic practice β 70 topics, as many as you like β’ Intonation practice β sing while you see the notes (long tone, scale, arpeggio, melody) β’ Full exam simulation β with its scoring rubric shown β’ Stage-two practice β sing your own piece; breath, phrases, and the range the piece needs against your own comfortable range β’ Vocal range measurement and how it changes over time β’ Tuner and metronome NOTHING TO MEMORIZE Every question is generated on the spot; there is no question bank. Stimuli stay inside your measured range β your ear is tested, not your vocal cords. HONESTY We measure pitch and timing. Timbre, emotion and expression are not measured and we do not claim otherwise. The simulation's score is not a prediction of your real exam result, and the screen says so. Stage-two practice has no score. PRIVACY Audio is never recorded and never leaves your device. No account, no ads, no data collection. The app's own code makes no network connections. SUBSCRIPTION Topic practice, intonation practice, the exam simulation and stage-two practice come with a monthly subscription; 7 days free. The tuner, the metronome and range measurement are free. On the level path, the first exercise of every unit is free. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
