AdStop

AdStop is a Safari extension that blocks ads, popups and forced redirects, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. WHY I BUILT IT I built this for everyone who has the same story. You're reading an article, you tap the screen, and a tab opens on its own to a page you never asked for. The banners were never what ruined the read: it was that. So that's where AdStop started, stopping a page from opening a tab you didn't want. Banners, scripts and video ads came later. WHAT ADSTOP BLOCKS ⢠Popups and tabs opened without your consent ⢠Forced redirects to another page ⢠Banners and display ads ⢠Overlay ads that cover the content ⢠Video ads that start inside the page ⢠Ad scripts, stopped before they even run YOU STAY IN CONTROL ⢠One switch turns everything off, everywhere YOUR NUMBERS, NO DECORATION The app shows what was blocked: by type, by site, today, over seven days, since the start. There is also a daily streak and a few badges, not to pull you back in, but because watching the counter climb makes visible something you would otherwise never notice. PRIVACY ⢠No account, no sign-up ⢠No data sent to a server: everything stays on your device ⢠No trackers, no ads inside the app ⢠No in-app purchases, no subscription ⢠AdStop reads your pages to block ads there, and for nothing else TURNING IT ON Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions > AdStop, then allow access to websites. The app walks you through it in three steps and tells you whether the extension is really active. THANK YOU
