Markdown Viewer
Read full descriptionHide full description
You spot a line worth fixing, but explaining which file and which section to an AI takes longer than the fix itself. Markdown Viewer removes that step. Select the text and tap copy. Then paste it into your AI chat. Three steps 1. Open a Markdown file from Files or iCloud Drive 2. Long-press to select the text you want to change 3. Tap copy in the lower right, then paste into an AI chat It copies more than the text Your selection arrives with its file name and heading trail attached. Here is what actually lands on your clipboard. File name: docs/current/plan.md Headings: Chapter 3 > Setup steps Selected text: """ An administrator handles the initial setup, and members join from an invite link. """ The AI sees which file, which section, and which sentence in a single paste. No more writing out where the text came from. Set the path yourself Tap the file name to enter any relative path. Something like docs/current/plan.md helps an AI pin down the target. Features ⢠Markdown rendering with headings, tables, code blocks, and checklists ⢠Text selection with context-rich copy ⢠Open from Files, iCloud Drive, pasted text, or a sample document ⢠Copy a code block on its own ⢠Custom relative paths ⢠Light and dark themes ⢠Japanese and English, following your device language ⢠VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support Good for ⢠Reading back specs and notes written with an AI while you are out ⢠Sending a fix to your AI the moment you notice it ⢠Lining up edits before you get back to your desk ⢠Reading Markdown from iCloud Drive in a clean layout Not included ⢠Editing, saving, or exporting Markdown ⢠Writing back to the original file ⢠Automatic sending to an AI (it copies to your clipboard) ⢠Accounts, sync, or direct cloud service connections Focused on reading and handing text to an AI. Light and simple. Not saved Your document, selections, copied text, and recent files are never stored. Everything runs on your device. No ads, no analytics. Requirements iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Supports .md and .markdown files in UTF-8, up to 1 MB.
Inkstone Notes
Read full descriptionHide full description
Inkstone keeps your notes as what they already are: plain Markdown files, in a folder you choose, on your own device. There is no database, no import step and no proprietary format. A vault another Markdown app created opens here, and a vault created here opens there. If Inkstone disappeared tomorrow, you would still have a folder of Markdown. WRITING Headings, bold, quotes, callouts, checkboxes, tables and code all render in place as you type, with the syntax revealed only on the line the cursor is on. Reading mode is a separate, read-only view for when you want the page without the scaffolding. Body font, code font and their sizes are set independently. LINKING [[Note]], [[Note#Heading]], [[Note^block]], ![[Embeds]] and aliases declared in frontmatter all resolve into one index. Every note shows what points at it, what it points at, and which of its links have no target yet. Rename a note and every link that pointed at it is rewritten across the whole vault, in the same action. SEEING THE SHAPE The graph view draws your notes as nodes joined by their links, and the simulation is deterministic ā the same vault draws the same picture every time, so you can learn its layout instead of re-reading it on every open. SPATIAL NOTES The canvas puts cards, files and connections on an infinite sheet, saved as JSON Canvas 1.0 ā the same open format other implementations read and write. FINDING THINGS A fuzzy switcher opens over every note with one gesture. Full-text search understands tag: and path:, and tags work inline or in frontmatter, nested, in any script. TYPOGRAPHY THAT HANDLES CJK Chinese sets solid ā no word spaces ā so a Latin word dropped into a Han sentence collides with it. Inkstone sets the gap between scripts properly, and lets you choose fonts and sizes that suit both. TWO DEVICES Sync a vault through iCloud, or push it to a GitHub repository with conflicts settled once rather than left as two copies. Per-file-type filters decide whether attachments and media travel with it. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION No account. No telemetry. No network call you did not ask for. Your files are on your device and go only where you send them. Interface in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
