TapDone turns an old phone into a Done button you hang on the wall. When someone finishes a chore, they walk up and tap it — the ring fills green, the points land, and it shows on every phone in the house a second later. It isn't only kids' chores. One shared board keeps feeding the dog, watering the plants and Grandma's evening meds visible to everyone. Green means done. That's pretty much the whole interface. Each task is a dial whose ring drains as the deadline gets closer, so a five-year-old and a grandparent can both read the board from across the room. At night it settles into a clock with the last task still in view. POINTS, STREAKS AND REWARDS YOU WRITE YOURSELF Screen time, a movie pick, pancake Saturday. Each child has their own running total and works toward the rewards that matter to them. IT CAN TELL WHO TAPPED Face match is optional. Recognition runs entirely on the phone — it reads a frame, works out who's there, and discards it right away. No video, nothing recorded or streamed. Remove one face, or wipe every face in the house, in a single tap. A quick name tap works if you'd rather skip it. SCHEDULES IN PLAIN LANGUAGE Daily, weekdays, every six days, twice a day, or a window that opens at 7 PM. Away mode pauses everything while you're gone — except the meds. A DISPLAY PER ROOM Kitchen, hallway, bedside: each device shows the tasks for its spot, while your phone sees the whole house. Setup takes about three minutes. Add your chores, pair the old phone with a QR code, and stand it where the job actually happens. A tap, not screen time — tapping done takes about three seconds and sends everyone back to their day.

Chore Check helps families make sure chores actually get done — before the phone becomes the more interesting option. A parent picks which chores matter and photographs each one done properly. That photo becomes the answer key. When a chore is due, the apps the parent chose are locked. The child does the chore, takes a quick photo or short video, and Chore Check compares it to the parent's example. If it matches, those apps unlock for a free-time window the parent has set. If it doesn't, it says what still needs doing. No arguing about whether the room "counts" as clean. The photo settles it. Built by a ten year old to help kids. HOW IT WORKS • A parent sets everything up behind a private PIN and takes an example photo of each chore done correctly. • The parent picks which apps get locked while a chore is outstanding, using Apple's own app picker. Learning and coding apps can be marked always allowed. • The child photographs the finished chore. • The app compares it to the parent's example and unlocks on a pass. CHORES YOU CAN TURN ON • Clean room • Dishes • Vacuuming (short video) • Feeding a pet • Watering plants • Or make your own — name it, photograph it once, and it works like the rest. Each chore stays off until a parent adds its example photo. FOR PARENTS • Weekly schedule — pick which days each chore is due. • A set amount of free time after every pass, and a countdown to finish a check. • Everything is behind a parent PIN, with an optional email reset if it's forgotten. BUILT WITH SAFETY IN MIND • Real emergencies always get through. Phone calls and texts are never blocked, and there's an emergency option a parent can see the usage count for. • Private by design. The parent PIN is stored scrambled on the device. Chore photos are used only to check that chore in the moment — they are not kept on our server. There is no advertising in Chore Check at all. SUBSCRIPTION Chore Check is a $4.99/month auto-renewing subscription. It includes everything above — there is no free tier, no locked features and no ads.
