Look up. There’s a lot going on. Live Orbit is a satellite tracker for iPhone and iPad. Explore Earth on a 3D globe, find the International Space Station and other satellites, and plan your next chance to look up. TAKE CONTROL OF TIME Explore calculated satellite positions up to a week backward or forward. Scrub through orbital motion, then glide back to live tracking. TRACK SATELLITES Follow satellite positions and orbit paths. Search by name or NORAD ID, explore satellite details, and save favorites for later. PLAN YOUR NEXT PASS See predicted passes for your location, with timing and viewing direction. Check the information you need before heading outside. POINT YOUR PHONE Use Sky Mode to explore nearby sky directions, identify a satellite marker, and return to its details. Switch to the camera background when you want AR guidance. Pointing depends on your device's sensors and tracking conditions; satellite positions are calculated from orbital data. GO BEYOND EARTH ORBIT Explore Moon, Sun, and Mars views, spacecraft information, launches, space weather, and space news in one place. LISTEN TO SPACE Play available SatNOGS ground-station recordings with playback controls and signal imagery. KEEP AN OBSERVING LOG Use Radio Toolkit to plan sessions, save observations, and work through radio and antenna calculations. Receiving satellite radio signals requires external equipment; your iPhone is not a satellite radio receiver. Location is optional. Enable it for local passes and pointing. No Live Orbit account is required. Some features require Live Orbit Pro, available as an auto-renewable subscription. The purchase screen shows the current price, duration, and any eligible trial before you subscribe. You can restore purchases in the app and manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. SatellitePlus

Where is the ISS now? When will your next satellite pass begin? SatellitePlus brings a 3D Earth, polar radar and pass predictions together in a tactile, metal-and-glass observation console. FIND YOUR SATELLITE Rotate Earth, select an orbit, or search by satellite name and NORAD ID. Filter by group, country or orbit type. Keep a followed list so your favorite targets are easy to find again. PLAN YOUR NEXT PASS Check direction, elevation and distance on the radar. The pass dossier brings together rise, peak and set times, maximum elevation and orbit-data age. One active local reminder is included free. Following a satellite does not turn on notifications. TAKE YOUR TARGETS WITH YOU In-app following and phone console controls are free. Pro is a one-time purchase for Home Screen widgets, Apple Watch, and Dynamic Island with its Lock Screen Live Activity. No subscription. Restore your purchase from the in-app store. On Apple Watch, view your followed list and a wrist-aligned polar trajectory. Sync with iPhone to store the next 48 hours of trajectories locally, including positions below the horizon. The cache works offline within its saved period and needs a new sync to refresh. Start an orbit session yourself to see it on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, Dynamic Island. System update timing applies; these surfaces are not continuous background tracking. READY FOR EXPLORATION No app account is required. Location access is optional; without it, a default observer is used. A bundled catalog and local cache keep basic exploration available when a network update is unavailable. iPad gives your instruments more room in portrait and landscape. Predictions use public orbital data. A pass above the horizon does not guarantee naked-eye visibility: illumination, weather, obstacles and data age matter. SatellitePlus is for personal observation and learning, not navigation or safety-critical use.

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: SatellitePlus at 17.0 against Live Orbit's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
