There was a time when my days were consumed by work and alcohol. I would wake up with a heavy head and a bleak mood after drinking too much. While wondering how to sober up, I would head back to work that seemed to have no end. The project was a death march. Every day, I repeated the same hell without knowing when it would end. After work, I drank while stopping at convenience stores on my way home. I had no time to play the games I once loved, and no room left to think about what I wanted. My body and mind felt like mud. Back then, there was a vending machine on the platform of my nearest station that sold canned shijimi clam miso soup. When I drank it, I felt as though a little nourishment reached my clouded mind and restored a small amount of strength to keep living. Just to drink that can of soup, I barely managed the 14-minute walk to the station. It did not give me the power to change my life. But I still had enough strength to go and drink that shijimi miso soup. Looking back now, I think that was one small grain too. Hitotsubu is an app for placing the small events and feelings of each day into a bottle, one grain at a time. Something tasted good. Something looked beautiful. I laughed. I felt relieved. I finished something. Someone helped me. I somehow made it through today. It does not have to be a major event. You do not need an impressive goal or a long piece of writing. Just tap once in that moment. The grains you save collect in a bottle. Bottles go into wooden crates. Crates go into containers. The time you have accumulated eventually becomes a vast warehouse. When you look back at that warehouse, you may realize: I thought I had done nothing, but I lived through all of these days. It is a place for keeping those memories. In Hitotsubu, grains cannot be edited or deleted. Even an accidental tap remains as one grain from that day. This is not an app for creating a perfect record. It is an app for preserving the time you actually lived, exactly as it happened. You do not have to change your life. You do not have to become positive. Just remember: Something tasted a little better. I smiled a little. Something helped me. I made it through today. Do not let those moments disappear. One grain may not change anything. But someday, that grain may remind you that something was still alive within you.
StickyPresenterRemote

StickyPresenterRemote is the iPhone companion to StickyPresenter for Mac. While you present, your Mac is out of reach โ this puts the timer controls in your hand. This is not a standalone app. It needs StickyPresenter running on a Mac on the same Wi-Fi network. WHAT YOU CAN DO โข See the countdown โ remaining time, progress, and the Pomodoro phase with its cycle number, updated every second โข Start, pause, and reset โข Add or subtract 30 seconds when a section runs long โข Start a new timer from 3, 5, 10, and 15 minute presets โข Resize the widget โ S, M, or L โ so it reads from the back of the room โข Move the widget by dragging it on a miniature of your Mac's screen layout. If it covers a slide, move it off without touching your Mac. With a second display, drag it across to the other screen. โข Hide the widget from your audience, pull a lost one back next to the panel, or delete the timer HOW IT CONNECTS The two apps find each other over your local network and talk directly, with no account to create and no server in the middle. Nothing is sent over the internet. You enter a code only once. Open the app, pick your Mac from the list, and type the four-digit code shown on the Mac under menu bar timer icon โ Remote. From then on it connects on its own whenever you open it. In a room where several Macs are running StickyPresenter, the remote only ever reaches the one it is paired with. If it can't find your Mac, the app shows a checklist of the usual causes. PRIVACY No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. Only timer information and the commands you tap are exchanged, and only with your paired Mac. Your sticky notes and teleprompter scripts are never sent to the iPhone. REQUIREMENTS โข iPhone with iOS 17 or later โข A Mac running StickyPresenter on the same Wi-Fi network โข Local Network permission allowed on both devices
