See further with the camera you already carry. Binoculars steps the zoom up to 25x, holds the picture steady, and lets you freeze a frame and pinch into it — for a bird on a far branch, a stage from the back row, a street sign, a boat on the horizon, the number on a distant door. HOW THE ZOOM WORKS Your iPhone switches lenses on its own as the zoom climbs, so the first part of the range is optical on any phone with a telephoto camera and the rest is a digital crop. The app stops at 25x, which is where a hand-held picture stops being worth looking at. FREE - Zoom up to 8x - Freeze the frame, pinch and pan around the still - Tap to focus, torch, night mode - Save to your photos, resized to 1600 px on the long side - Watch a short ad to lift the 8x cap for the rest of the session PRO - The full range to 25x, with no ad - Photos saved at the camera's full resolution - No ads anywhere in the app NIGHT MODE, HONESTLY It turns on the camera's low-light boost and pushes the exposure two stops. It brightens a dim scene. It is not night vision and it will not show you anything in the dark. COMMON QUESTIONS Is this a real telescope? No. It is your phone's camera, zoomed, with a steady hand and a freeze frame to help. Above the telephoto lens it is cropping pixels, and it looks like it. Why does it stop at 25x? Because past that a hand-held picture is mush. The cap is the app's, not the phone's. Does it need internet? No. The camera, zoom, freeze and torch work offline, and there is no account. The free plan loads ads over the internet. Does it record video? No. It takes stills and freezes frames. Why are my saved photos smaller than the camera's? On the free plan they are resized to 1600 px on the long side. Pro saves them untouched. GOOD FOR Birdwatching, concerts and matches from the cheap seats, reading a sign or a menu board across a street, checking a roof or a gutter from the ground, spotting a boat or a plane, wildlife from a safe distance. Glint

Is someone watching? A hidden camera in a rental or a hotel room is small, cheap, and easy to miss. Glint gives you four ways to look — and tells you plainly what each one can and can't see. FREE, AND COMPLETE The network scan is free forever, and the results are never blurred or held back. Glint lists every device sharing your Wi-Fi and says in plain words what each one probably is: a router, a printer, an Apple TV — or something that matches a known camera manufacturer. Most apps in this category show you a scary number and charge you to see what's behind it. We don't. The live magnetic sweep is free too. WHAT GLINT PRO ADDS • Infrared detector — spots the IR LEDs a night-vision camera gives off in a dark room • Lens glint finder — catches the reflection a lens throws back at your torch • Guided room sweep — ten places, in the order cameras are actually found: smoke detectors, alarm clocks, USB chargers, air vents, the two-way mirror test • Saved reports — a record of every room you've checked NO LOCATION. NO SERVER. Glint never asks for your location — it doesn't need it. Everything runs on your iPhone: the camera feed is analysed frame by frame in memory and never recorded, the network scan never leaves your local network, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. There is no server to leak. HONEST ABOUT LIMITS No app can prove a room is clean, and any app that says otherwise is selling you something. A network scan can't see a camera recording to an SD card. Infrared works in the dark, not in daylight. Glint tells you this at the end of every sweep, because a false sense of safety is worse than none. Glint Pro is a one-time purchase — pay once and keep every tool, on every device you sign in with. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
