John 1:1 is a Bible that shows you how every verse connects to the rest of Scripture. Read a verse; swipe sideways into the verses it quotes, echoes or fulfils. For daily reading and study — free, and fully offline. Now includes the Chinese Union Version (CUV) in Traditional Chinese, with ten translations across seven languages. THE WORD SHOULD BE FREE We think the Word should be free, so it is. We are not selling anything to you, or anything about you to anyone. There are no ads, no account, and nothing to buy. Your reading, saved verses and searches stay on your phone. HOW IT READS • Swipe up for the next verse — the book in its own order. • Swipe sideways for a connected verse — the book as a web. From Genesis 1:2, "the earth was formless and void", one swipe lands on Jeremiah 4:23: "I looked at the earth, and it was formless and void." Two verses, 19,049 apart, that say the same rare thing. • Compare the two passages with their shared wording highlighted, see the basis of each connection, and read either one in context. • Keep going, and your walk becomes a path you can return to and share. 292,374 connections — quotations, shared phrases, the same person or place, prophecies and their fulfilment — recorded by readers over centuries and ranked so the ones you can see the reason for come first. A NEW WORD EACH DAY Every morning, a verse chosen for the season and rich with connections — never one you have already seen. FIND ANYTHING Search a word like "love" and it does not stop at ten results: it finds all 661 verses and lets you read straight through them. TEN TRANSLATIONS, SEVEN LANGUAGES Berean Standard, King James, American Standard and World English; Luther 1912, Segond 1910, Reina-Valera 1909, Riveduta 1927, the Bíblia Portuguesa Mundial and the Chinese Union Version (CUV, Traditional Chinese). Use it as a traditional Bible in any of them, with cross-references one swipe away. QUIET BY DESIGN Fully offline — the whole Bible and every connection live on your device, so it works with no signal at all. We keep only anonymous counts of how the app is used, never tied to you. Read the Word, and follow where it leads.
